Annelise figured out how to get out of her pajamas (zippered footed pajamas) and now she won't leave them on. Has anyone else had a kid who continually strips out of pajamas? What did you do about it? I've put her back in her pajamas 5 times in the last hour and a half.

I give them a warning just like any other thing I don't want them to do. I use 123 Magic for discipline and if they continue to strip and I get to 3 they go to time out. Now, if it's after they go to bed I can't really do anything but I have learned to check on them before I go to bed. The one time I did not, in the morning I found Jake in just his diaper. He must have been really cold all night long. I have also learned if they are up playing and not going to sleep, there chances of them taking off their pj's are much higher.

Put them on backwards, and/or duct tape over the zipper.

Mine didn't like the zippered pjs and would take them off anytime I put them on. When I put on the shirt/pants pjs they kept them on. On the other hand we also had the power struggle with removing clothes and diapers and making a mess in their crib and that I had to deal with using discipline...

If it is before bed, why don't you let her run around for a while without them & then put them on when it is time for bed? A 2yr olds compromise :)

If she is in bed I would let her take them off once & then wait until she is asleep to put them back on or wait until she wants them back on.

    I wouldn't battle over it.

My kids take one piece PJs off too, so we're switching to 2 pieces next Fall. For now they have sleep sacks so they keep them on in the crib at least.

My ds takes everything off :headbang: We've done the duct tape which works and we have a couple pairs of pjs that we've cut the feet off so we could turn them around. GOOD LUCK! It's so frustrating!

My girls both went thru a stage of doing this. They finally got bored, and I think a little cold, and started keeping them on. Sorry that is probably not very helpful to you.

Apparently my husband does not think this is as much of a problem as I do. I mentioned some of your responses this morning and he said, "I don't think it's that much of an issue. It's kind of cute." O.k. so maybe I should stop worrying about it. Mostly I'm concerned that she'll get cold at night and not sleep well (and wake us all up because of it). She does it before going to bed and we usually just let her run around until bedtime and put her back in them. She always stays awake in her crib for 45-60 minutes after bedtime (talking, playing, and yodeling :rotflmbo:) and she takes them off then too. I guess I just need to go in as she's winding down or just after she falls to sleep to put her back in them. Two nights ago after her bedtime yodeling session, my DH went in to check on her and brought her pajamas out. They were still zipped up and completely inside out. Apparently she wiggles out of the neck hole and then peels them off. I'm guessing duck tape or putting them on backwards wouldn't fix the issue anyway.
