I am so sorry that you are in pain. I am 26 weeks pg with b/g twins and I too have balloons for feet and hands...They don't inflate though until the evening. I guess from walking around all day. I had posted a thread about the swelling recently. Alot of ladies gave me some really great tips. You should check it out, Here is the link.

Now in regards to the pain....I have a similar pain, doctor says it is round ligament pain. There isn't much that helps that I know of. Doctor just said it is caused by the stretching of the uterus, he didn't give me any tips to relieve the pain. Hopefully one the other TS members can help you more. Hope your pain subsides soon. Take care of yourself Momma!

Also, do you know the gender of your twins?

I feel some pain on and off around my lower abdomen at times too...doc just attribute it to the stretching of my uterus (plus I just had a cystectomy at week 4-5)...As for the swelling, it usually come at the later part of the day. I read in a book that the swelling should subside and come back, if its a constant swelling it should call for some concern like pre-eclampsia or something related. Good to call ur doc if its constant.

Last but not least, I feel shaky and weak in the legs at times too, giddiness comes with it sometimes. I never measure my BP though, good idea, shud start doing that.

I believe it's quite normal to get more round ligament pains early on with twins than with a singleton pregnancy. That could contribute to your stomach area pain. I know I often felt like someone had stuck me with little electrodes that were shocking my nerves in my tummy as my skin and ligaments were stretching so rapidly. The only thing my doc suggested was a good lotion on the skin and some tylenol. That worked for the most part.

As for the swelling, while it is perfectly normal for pregnant women to swell, you want to let your doctor know. Especially if it comes on suddenly.
