ok...so I am not totally sure what I am asking here but here is what happened and what I am wondering.

I am only 20 weeks so the babies are not that terribly big I know but often times when they move around I have a fair bit of uncomfortableness. Last night I was almost in tears. I was not sure if it was contractions or just babies pressing on me funny. I have been having what I think are BH off and on since 13 weeks but then I wonder if they are just a baby turning somersaults in there....I don't know. Can anyone tell me about their feeling when their babies moved/move? I am going to the doc on Friday for my appt. and the measuring/big u/s, although we are not finding out gender. Up until now, last measurement was 18 weeks, on June 18, my cervix was 5.2 so I have not been terribly worried about PTL but then again when I was so uncomfortable last night I wondered. And yes my tummy was hard but I thought that maybe baby was pressing on me...UGH! I try feeling my tummy when I feel like that and it is not as hard as I would think but then last night I wondered if my layer of chub over top could be making it seem a little softer. :rotflmbo:

I should have titled this topic "confused"! I just don't know what to think I guess. I do not remember it hurting or being this uncomfortable with DD when she moved but she was only one baby you know? I just keep thinking maybe this is just how it is with twins....any help or thoughts are appreciated. Any questions too if you need any clarification....sorry this may not make much sense....

With what you described....the pain and tummy tightening, it sounds like a contraction to me. I would call your doc and see if they want you to be monitored. :hug99: The babies are still pretty small to be causing "almost in tears" type discomfort, when they move, I think!

That's what I was thinking as well.

I hope all is well, keep us updated.

I have had pain with movements, but its when she gets stuck somewhere, like under my ribs, and kicks... it hurts so bad! Jackie put his leg across my belly last night, and she kicked at him, he thought that was funny!

Hi there, I have been having a similar thing. Sometimes my uterus or stomach muscles contract and go really hard for a bit. I have asked all my freinds if it's BH and they say it;s too early - so I'm thinking maybe it's the bubs banging on there making it tense up. This is my first pregnancy, so it's hard for me to know what's what. I dont get a whole lot of pain with the contracting. It just feels like a cramp, though not as painful as one in your leg. Just uncomfortable. It hasn't been happening as much in the last 2 weeks, just when I cough for to long or whatever. And at the start when they moved I would feel sick, but i'm used to it now. Also, when my bladder is full, like in the middle of the night, it's painful and wakes me up. Sometimes when I get pain I just go to the toilet anyway, lol, it seems to ease everything.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that i've been having a similar thing.
If your worried about the pain, I would definately see a doctor.
    Good luck :)

It's never too early for BH contractions!!!! I had the same type of discomforts as you. I assumed that they were BH but after a couple more weeks.... I learned that the pain I was feeling was when they were flipping. Now please don't think that I'm telling you that's what you were feeling.... you really need to contact your doc to be sure.

I have also been feeling the same sensations. I don't actually think they are BH contractions. It happens most when Baby A is moving and I think its partly because she is slow low in my cervix and partly because they both decide to do flips at the same time. When it happens I always feel my stomach to see if its hard and its not always hard. Granted, some of it may be BH so just keep checking and be aware. But I wouldn't worry so much if everything else is fine.

Oh, and its definitely uncomfortable with me so I feel your pain...literally.

Thank you ladies so much for your replies! I did not have anymore painful times like that on TUesday night. I have been taking it really easy and closely monitoring when I feel these things to try and figure out what is going on.

I have figured out, I think, that there is one discomfort when they turn somersaults, only thing it can be. THat feels kind of like a really bad roller coaster tummy. Then when I get the BH That is uncomfortable but in a different way. My tummy is totally tight then but with the somersaults only tight in some areas. The pain I had on Tuesday I am still not totally sure about BUT I am really sore in my lower belly too so maybe I just pulled something and when they moved it hurt? Not sure.

I go to the doc tomorrow for both my cervix check and measuring u/s so I will see how everythig is then. I will mention what happened and let doc know. I am usually more conservative with my care but with the holiday and all I just did not want to go to the ER....I know...maybe not the best idea but DH was really helpful too since it scared him to think I may be having contractions already.

Anyway....thanks again to all who helped out....will update tomorrow after u/s!

Everything sounds pretty normal. Twenty weeks is when I started getting pretty uncomfortable, I think that's even when I started cutting my hours at work way back and working from home. The best advice anyone ever gave me was that you will have all kinds of aches and pains being pregnant with twins, if something ever persists or is very painful for more than a few straight hours just call your ob. The Dr. is usually the only one that will ease your mind. That said, you probably are having some BH, 20 weeks isn't too early. I didn't have too much pain with their movement until they were a little bigger. Your body will stretch and the more it does the less pain like that you will experience, but then there are all kinds of new ones. :D
