Today, i have noticed that my scar, one side of it at that, is really sore. I'm not sure if it's just from stretching or if Peyton has positioned himself there or what. It's nice and red/pinkish and raised up a little more than normal (it healed rough and there is a keiloid (what teh dr. calls it) there.) It hurts a bit and if i wear jeans or something they rub on it causing it to hurt more. Anyone elase have this problem or is it just my luck LOL. I go to the dr. tomorrow and i'll ask about it but i was just checking.

    thanks in advance

I haven't had any pain problems down there, but sometimes the corners of mine will itch (not a pleasant place to be itching) and I have attributed it to the additional stretching.

I haven't had any issues, but I'm not as far along as you either. I am 26 weeks this week. I would think that it would probably depend on how you healed originally. I never had any issues with healing or pain afterward. I would mention it to your dr though. I tend to ask about everything.

Still a little early for me to be having issues with my scar... no issues so far. Thanks for the warning though! :winking0009:

I never had any healing issues after my c/s. And for most of this pg I have been fine as far as my scar is concerned. I did have one time a few weeks ago where I woke up in the middle of the night and it was really hurting along my scar..it kind of freaked me out..I'm not sure if it was stretching or what. It seems like it's gotten more red, a little wider, and a bit more tender...But honestly I think it's just the external skin scar that feels like this b/c of the nerves that probably run through there. Many women that I know have complained of pain around their c/s scar in later pregnancies. I think it's pretty normal. But most people don't realize is that for every woman with a prior c/s there is a very, very slight chance that you could have a uterine rupture even prior to going into labor. It's a very, very, very small chance...but it is there...so if you are ever in a LOT of pain from it I would definitely call your doctor ASAP. I don't know the stats on when it's more likely to happen, but I would imagine it's more likely toward the end of the pg, rather than the beginning.

Okay, i asked my doctor and firs toff, he says that he's never seen a scar heal like mine...one side is fine and the other is raised up. He said it must be the way my body heals. Go figure. Anyways, he said taht the pain and tenderness is just the stretching and that he wouldnt worry about it. If however it does get any worse and hurt more "inside" then to call and let them know. So...there's my answer....he said that normaly they do get tender and sore b/c of it and its just normal. So heads up if you have had a c-section

I have been worried about this my entire pregnancy. However, I haven't felt anything - not even a twinge of pain in my scar. I am hoping that since it has been 4+ years that I won't have any pain with the scar. I'm still nervous about labor, though! I have a friend who said that was when her scar really started stretching and hurting.
