How long did you leave your pack n play set up for? We don't use it as much now, as they don't like it much anymore. We don't have alot of space so there is not much room to make like a play yard with gates and we find it comes in handy when you need to situate them somewhere for a minute or two (like to use the bathroom or prepare a meal for them) and you don't want to leave them on the loose. But it takes up so much space. So we were just wondering what others did.

We have never really used it for that purpose. We took ours down once they stopped sleeping in them for naps. The girls pretty much have free reign of the living room/dining room. We are pretty baby proofed so if I have to go in the kitchen, they either follow me or have enough toys to keep them busy.

We never used the P&P for that purpose either. I did have one set up for a changing table and naps, but took that down long ago. I just keep them packed up for when we travel now.

We never used it for that purpose either. Only use it when we go on trips for them to sleep in.

We still have ours up, but it's only used for a changing table. They started to climb out of the PNP a few months ago so they no longer go inside it.

Mine is till set up in a corner so it doesn't take up much space. We also only use it occasionally if we need to put one in there for a minute while we do something else.

We never used our PNP for confinement (other than when they were very little), but Amy still naps in it. I have no idea where she's going to nap when we take it down.

Our house is very small, but we devoted about half our dining room to the play yard from about 6-14 months. After that we took it down because they hated being in it so much, it wasn't worth it. We just tried to step up our babyproofing and just recognized that they would occasionally be unsupervised and on the loose (if I have to pee or something).

I left it up until just a couple months ago, although no one was really using it. I took it down once they started to try climbing in it and tipped it over. It was only being used for Time Out anyway. If I have to leave them unattended for a minute, I only do it in the playroom/family room (totally babyproofed). Sometimes I still have to take them in the bathroom with me if we are upstairs.

We also just babyproofed the entire living room/dining room etc. and only used the pnp for sleeping. Our two pnps were our constant travel companions until just over 2 years old. :) I do put Dax in the pnp for confinement (or you could call it safety because his sisters are running around ;) ) but I'll probably use it less when he starts crawling and I babyproof.

When we started using it as a catchall for their toys, it was time to take it down. We never really used it for confinement. After we took it down, it has just been used for when we travel.

We mostly only used ours for naps as well. Once they were oldr and I needed them to stay put, I used the exersaucers. We didn't have much room so I was happy to get it out of the way ASAP. NOw the are just travel beds.
