paci question

one of my LOs used to use a paci until he had a cold then dropped it.
he wont take it anymore and soothing him to sleep can sometimes be quite an ordeal.
should i try a different paci or just assume he's done.

 

I would assume he is done and be thankful, LOL. Our boys used to like pacis but were never obsessed about them. Then once they got past the colicky stage, somewhere around 4-5 months, we stopped offering them pacis since they weren't demanding them. Since then we've only offered them a paci if they are really worked up and upset about something, and sometimes they take it and sometimes they don't. But after reading about so many moms here being a slave to the paci and having plug pacis back in all throughout the night, I'm really glad our boys didn't get hooked on them!

 

I would also assume he's done & hope he finds a new way to soothe himself. Pacis can be a really hard habit to break sometimes, so I would just go with it!

 

Yup-I'm going to also say assume he's done-and be glad! Maybe he'll find something else to sooth himself to sleep with?

I love putting Annabella to bed. She can be wide awake-and usually is-and the she sees her little bear/blanket(that her brothers gave when she was born), and she crawls up and puts her head on it, sucks her fingers/pacifier, and goes right to sleep. It's so darn cute! Does he have any lovey's? Maybe try one of those?

 

yes they both use loveys.
he finally gets himself to sleep after moving around a bit but ALWAYS wakes up mid-nap and i can not get him back to sleep very easily.
this is our issue.
