I took them in for their 18 month check-up this morning and they look great! They are now both 34.5 inches tall (98%tile), 27.5 lbs (75%tile), and their heads are both 50cm (95%tile). My dh was big and his whole family have big heads, sorry about the pun! :) I picked up McDonalds to eat and gave them some Motrin because the poor guys got 6 shots 3 in each thigh. 1 was a flu shot. But at least they are done for a year till they get their flu shots again. They are now down for a nap. They really were great considering all the poking and prodding! Their next appt isn't till April so I think I'll take all 4 then.

I knew my boys were tall, but I thought that they would be 3 feet by now.

Sounds like a great appt. I think our ped is the only one who does not have an 18 month appt. We went at 15 months and then don't go back until 2.

Good appointment! Hope the shots don't bother them too much.

Sounds like your boys are about the same size as Brandon. He had his 18mo appointment yesterday as well and was 28lbs and 34in. Sorry for all the shots. We only had to get 1 and we should be done until 5.

Good appointment, you're growing some big boys there! We've got big heads too, over 100 percentile! :D

My dh gave them the big heads. My head is so small that I have to wear the largest child sized bike helmet, the smallest adults is very loose. I can even wear some of the twins hats. It's so humiliating! Also I'm pretty short considering even my sister is nearly 6', I had fractured my foot in 1997 and had to use the biggest child size crutches.
