Hi my name is Corinne Ravid and I was recommended this site by a lady I met yesterday in a restaurant who has 8 yr old twin girls.

I am 40 yrs old and after struggling with infertility for 3.5 yrs (3 IUIs and 3 IVF cycles), I finally got pregnant on my 3rd IVF cycle and am now 23 wks pregnant with twin girls (fraternal). I am due at the end of March. My husband and I are obviously over the moon and are very excited, although I'm also nervous and overwhelmed with what to expect. Fear of the unknown I guess.

I am originally from London, England, met my husband there in 2002 and moved to the US in 2004 and got married that year. We spent our first 3 yrs in West Palm Beach, FL and then moved to Louisiana as he is a physician and needed to complete his 3 yr Residency Program. He graduated in Sept and we recently moved back to FL on the west coast where we are very happily settled now. He has opened his own clinic in our town and is doing really well. So life is good

Being in a new place, it's been hard to meet new people especially expectant moms of multiples so getting advice and just talking is proving to be a challenge.

Is there anyone else out there in my area? I live in Punta Gorda which is in between Sarasota and Naples and close to Fort Myers on the west coast of FL. Is anyone expecting twins in March? To be honest, I'd like to just be in contact with people in my situation. I am ready to start decorating the nursery and starting up a baby registry which is very exciting.

Look forward to hearing from anyone who can offer any kind of advice and continuing this wonderful journey with people who can relate to expecting twins.

Hi, Corinne, and congrats! I'm not in your area by a long shot (in Philly, PA), but I AM expecting twins in March - fraternal twin girls, too! Mine are due March 8th. We're traveling the same road, essentially. Stay in touch, okay?

Here is a Mothers of Multiples group link for Fort Meyers- I believe that is pretty close to you? If any other group is closer for you, I'm sure on of their members could direct you.

It looks like a pretty active group.

    Good luck & Congrats!

Welcome to TS! This site is amazing and the ladies on here are a great support. I live in New mexico and am Due Feb 10th, As of Thursday I am now in the hospital on bedrest due to Pre-E and will be here until our 2 girls(Fraternal) are born. Check into that multiples group near you. you will be able to find lots of baby gear and other twin things from them. It's so much easier being able to buy nice used stuff.
