    Hi!

Well, I knew that since my DS hadn't pooped all day that he would likely poop once he was in his crib. I went to check up on the babes and he may have a little pooper in his diaper. I'm not absolutely sure and I don't want to wake him to check and be wrong.

I've woken him to change him when he was younger, but I'm hesitant to wake him now because he has a tendancy to want to play.

So, do you ever wake your little ones to change them or do you hope the desitin protects their little bottoms and leave them be?

I always changed them if it was poop.

When it's poop, I change them. I know it's better that I do and endure the possible problems of waking them than leave them in a poopy diaper. Mine really make their way around the crib at night so I also don't want poop anywhere else either.

I always change them if it's poop. I don't want it sitting on their skin all night, and as they are serious wigglers I don't want it all over them, their PJs, and the crib either. But, mine barely even wake up (they don't even open their eyes) when I change them. And are right back to bed withing a minute or two of getting settled.

Honestly if I knew they pooped at night I would change them, but if they weren't fussing or upset because of it then I wouldn't have known anyway. There have been many times that I change them in the morning and it is poopy, and who knows when they actually did the poop! Perhaps if you are worried about waking him up, and it doesn't bother him, then just put extra diaper cream on at night and see what happens.

Yes. I actually found that if you change them as normal they don't wake up but if you try to be gentle then they will wake every time.

If it's poop I most definitely change them. If I am unsure and want to check I can always just move the clothing over a little and peek in from the side. Or lean over the crib and take a big sniff right by their booty.

You don't want to let them sit in poop all night! I did that one time (on accident) and my baby had the worst diaper rash the next day! I felt terrible!

One morning, when my girls were around 1 yr old, I woke to find they had created a poop mural in their room. They and nearly everything in the room was covered with it. I vote for changing the diaper if there's poop!

Poop mural - that's hilarious...although I'm sure it wasn't very funny when it happened!

Well, I was right, DS did have a little poopy in his diaper. And to my surprise, so did DD. I had no idea that she had a dirty diaper too!

At the very least, they were both formed poop...kind of like play doh. And luckily, no diaper rash on either one.

Next time, I'm going to just do a night diaper change...that's better than thinking about it all night long!

    Thanks ladies!
