MY ONCE 5 POUND PREMIE WEIGHS A WHOPPING 19 LBS AT 4 MONTHS MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CARRY HIM IN THE CARRIER. BUT HOW IN THE HECK WILL IT WORK WITHOUT ONE??? HIS LIGHT WEIGHT SISTER ( ONLY 15 POUNDS) STILL IS ABLE TO USE THE CARRIER. I HAVE PLAYED OUT THE IDEA IN MY MIND A MILLION TIMES BUT CAN'T FIND AN EASY SOLUTION. MY CARRIER WEIGHT LIMIT IS 20 POUNDS... SO MY TIME IS RUNNING OUT FAST ! HOW DO YOU TRANSPORT WITH ONE IN THE CARRIER AND THE OTHER NOT??

At that age, I just used the stroller everywhere we went. Mine were both out of carriers at 4 months, and while at first it was tough, it was easy to get used to it.

Well....until I could get them into the car or into the stroller, I would put one in my baby bjorn and hold the other one.

Ours outgrew the carriers at 6months well my DS did and so we switched them both to the next stage car seats. So in order for me to get them to the parking garage they go into their stroller (Jeep) the more portable one and off to the car we go. Than I put them into their other car seats. It is a lot easier than trying to carry one in the car seat and the other in your arms plus diaper bags etc. This way u would be rolling them and I have found it so much easier on my arms. I swear my arms were getting stretched carrying them.

I have had one 3 pounds heavier than the other since about 4 months. So when we were approaching the 6 month age, and the heavier was over 20 pounds, I switched them both to the convertible car seats (which are also designed for 8 pound babies as well) and out of the double Snap and Go (I loved that stroller!!). We used the regular double stroller.

It was a tough transition and they looked so small in their new carseats and stroller, but we had to do it. Now, 4 months later, they love sitting up in their stroller and watching everything and everyone!!

I have heard of many moms toting one in the carrier and holding the other. It is almost like you have children of different ages at that point.

My suggestion would be to wait until your boy is over 20 pounds, and hope that they can both sit up on their own. Then switch them both out of the infant carrier.

I think that your choices are holding your DS back and taking on the extra weight of keeping him in the carrier, or pushing your DD out of the carrier earlier than her size call for. Either way, I think both babies will be fine.

Good luck figuring it all out!! I am sure that you will make the appropriate decision!!

boo hhoooooo bbooooo hhoooo that's me crying over the thought of getting rid of our carriers.

I hate the thought of not being able to use the SNGO \\

I hate the idea of not being able to keep the babies in their carriers while I get ready --dressing, packing , etc.

I can't even imagine how I will get them out to the car?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?1/

I'm in the same boat. I'm moving them both out of carriers and into big car seats. I figure we'll have to take the stroller everywhere we go - I'll even have to use it to bring them into the house (we have street parking so I am often quite far from our front door).
