So my 2 1/2yo has decided that pooping outside is great fun! I was at my brothers house and I went to check on him and his cousin outside and he is standing there bare butt naked! I asked him why he was naked and he said because he was pooping!! I was trying so hard not to laugh!! Then he tells me in this funny little evil voice, "it's so funny because Trinka eats it!!" (trinka being the dog!) :icon_eek: :icon_eek: So I calmly tell him that we do not go poopoo outside, that he needs to come in and use the toilet. I told him if he did it again, I would spank him. So this was Thursday.

Then yesterday (Friday) I go outside and find him naked again. He is giggleing and laughing telling me that he was pooping and trinka was eating it!! (GAG). This time I swatted him on his bare naked butt and told him to come inside. Again, I told him we did not go to the bathroom outside.

So my question - has anyone had a lovely little child do this and find it amusing??!! What do I do? I was trying so hard not to laugh, because it is funny, but at the same time it is so wrong!! What do I do?? Thanks!

    Rhea,

:rotflmbo: :rotflmbo: :rotflmbo: :rotflmbo: !!! Oh my I couldn't help myself! Anthony and Josh would get along well! I was outside talking to the neighbor the other day and he was asking me how I keep track of all 5 kids, and I was saying it just takes a little organization, and sometimes things happen, you just move on.....I look over, and Josh has his pants pulled down and is peeing in the grass right next to me! I was so embarrased! BOYS!

 I am sure it's so funny the FIRST time!!! Ali saw the dog lifting his leg on trees and such at the park one day and she went over and lifted her leg on the tree (clothes on) and we all laughed and she kept doing it!! I can totally see them emulating the dog one day.

This is the first I've heard of your issues!! I hope you can figure out a way to stop him. Maybe tell him the dog will get sick? I really don't know, but I hope you figure out what works! :hug99:

Not trying to one up you, but we live in the country on 5 acres of woods. if the girls are out and DH is with them, he actually PROMOTES going potty in the grass -- rather than have an accident on the way back to the house. it's gross and it's wrong, but what can I do. soon enough, the girls will be fast enough to get to the house without peeing all over creation. !!!

Okay, here's my outdoor pooping story. The girls were 3 and a half. We'd actually had a couple of instances of Ella going outside - once on our patio while we were giving a landscape architect a tour, once while DH was trying to load them up outside of preschool. Those times, we told her she was now big enough to wait and get inside.

We were at a restaurant with DH's parents & aunt. I took the girls to the outdoor dining area after they finished eating. I went back for each of them to go to the bathroom, so obviously she knew it was a possibility. After a while, the rest of the family group migrated out to join us. LUCKILY, it had just stopped raining so no one was eating out there. Soooo, we're all chatting, when I see DH cover his face and say, "Marcia, will you get her!" She is crouching beside him and making a deposit. :icon_eek: . After I slug him, DH grabs her and takes her to the car without getting her cleaned up or anything. His aunt actually came over and helped me bury the evidence under the mulch. I was mortified.

DH spanked her on the way to the car. At home, we stood her in the tub and hosed her down. She kept saying, "Ooooo, yuck, the poopy is getting on my foot," etc. I told her (I'm sure not very nicely) that that's how the rest of the world feels - nobody wants to see her poopy, least of all patrons in a restaurant. That night seemed to have cured her...we hope. Well, it's been a year.
