Out to lunch

I'm so nervous right now! DH's grandma just showed up this morning and told me to go out to lunch and gave me her credit card and said she would babysit the twins and my 3 year old. She is 88. Granted she's a spry 88, but still. She isn't too strong on her feet and can only see out of one eye. I feel so nervous and like I'm trying to rush so I can get back. I'm afraid of what my 3 yr old will do to her. lol. I have been putting this off for about 7 months now but she blindsided me today! ARRRGGGHH!!! This is going to be my most un-relaxing child-free lunch ever! I just hope it's all going to be ok and when I get back, no one has a broken hip.

Just had to tell someone.

 

Let us know how it went...kind of scary, but I'm sure it felt good to get out!

It went fine. I got to have an entire dessert myself! When I got home all 3 of them were asleep! I should have her come do that more often. lol

 

Wow! She got them all to sleep! She's hired send her up this way. LOL

Sometimes we just need a little push to do these things! Sounds like she is very capable and had no problems! When is she coming next??

 

wow! thats awesome! My mom (in her early 50's) lives 2 min down the street and she's terrified to watch all 3 alone. Maybe I should tell her about your grandma pulling it off to give her a little confidence!
