Okay, I do not want to jinx us...but, I am very, very proud. Jack and Lily turned 4 months today and they are both officially out of their miracle blankets and into big boy/girl pj's. which, by the way, are very very cute. They are also sleeping freely, off of their positoners, and napping pretty well. Jack actually did 2 naps today that were an hour and a half and a third that was two hours. Of course, this could all be temporary as I DO NOT WANT TO JINX US!

We also took Lily's paci away (after her spitting it out repeatedly and then yelling for it after 20min. of sleep, 45 min. of sleep, and so on) and she did two naps today that were two hours and a third cat nap! She seems to have a little trouble switching sleep cycles but gets the hang of it after the first hour.

Jack has been without the swaddle and positioner for about 2 weeks now but this is only day 3 for Lily without the swaddle or positioner and day 2 without the paci. I am very happy to say, without Jinxing us, we are doing very well!

They went down at 7:30 last night and lasted until 4am (Jack) and 5am (lily) and then went back down right away after finishing 6oz. bottles and Jack did not wake up until 7:30 and I had to wake Lily up at 8am after only her 2nd. night in big girl pjs without her swaddle!!!!

Yeah for the babies and yeah for mom and dad who haven't had to reposition, rewrap, or reinsert!!!!

:yahoo: I am so happy for you. That is usually how mine are but they are hitting a little phase right now that I am hoping they will grow out of so say a prayer for us. I hope them sleeping is translating into a happy mommy and a lot of very needed sleep. Congrats on their graduation to PJ's they are pretty cute.

    Hey Ericka,

I just said that prayer for you! Also, rest assured, everything is just a phase. That is my new mantra - "It is just a phase." Tomorrow may bring something completely different and way more annoying, but, it also, will just be a phase!

yiippeeeee....i am right there with you!!!!! ours will be 4 months next sunday.

we attempted to not swaddle last night...cold turkey! dd kept getting out of the miracle blanket so we just put her in pjs for the first time, no positioner, etc. you are right..the pjs are adorable!

she slept from 7- 4:30!!!!! our ds still needs to be swaddled (startles easily) but he slept until then also.
she started crying at 10:30 ( i think she woke herself up ) we let her cry for 10 minutes. she woke him up so they both cried and were back to sleep within 15 minutes. yipeeee! they nursed and were back to sleep from 5- 7:30 am.

    woooooooohhhhhoooooooooo does it feel good!!!!

so glad yours are napping better too. we started letting her cry at nap time for a little bit this weekend. (he is so easy and falls right to sleep on his own) she cried for 30 minutes both nap times yesterday. today she cried less than 10 minutes! i think she is the kind of baby that will have to blow off steam before falling asleep. uh-oh...i hear her starting to cry again. that means she slept for 20 minutes! that crazy girl!!! gotta run.
