Our twins arrived!

    Our twins arrived last Tuesday after Miss Ella had a placental abruption....however we didn't know that was what was wrong until the c-section.

    Ella Marie was born at 7:39 weighing 4lb 3oz and 18 inches long at 34 weeks, 1 day.
    Benjamin David was born at 7:40 weighing 4 lb 15 oz and 18 inches long at 34 weeks, 1 day.

    They are both in the NICU. Ella is just in as a grower/feeder, as of last night she was down to 3 lb 13 oz. Benjamin is on a CPAP and oxygen, and also a grower/feeder. He's down to 4 lb 6 oz. Both of them are doing great though! Really hanging in there and trooping through it all.

    We love them so much and cannot wait to bring them home! :)

    Congratulations on the arrival of Ella and Benjamin!! Beautiful names. I am glad to hear that they are doing well and I hope your recovery goes smoothly, too.

    Yay! Another momma and her precious set of twins joins the FY forum :D Your babies seem to have very good weights all things considered, and I have no doubt they will be short term visitors at the Hotel NICU :) Best of luck and hope you and the babes get to go home soon!

    I was surprised at their weights actually! Little Miss Ella dropped down below 4 lbs but is quickly climbing back up. Our hospital's weight policy is 5 lbs to go home. Along with being able to feed and breathe on their own, of course. They are hoping to take out her feeding tube and let her try a nipple feeding next week. So we'll see!
