Just thought I'd share this in case it might help anyone else out there struggling with sippy cups (it may not). Jackson had responded with a consistently sour face whenever I gave him water in a sippy cup. He would let it roll out of his mouth and made a expression as though he was sure I was trying to poison him. The water I was using was room temperature or slightly cooler... from our filtered water tap (Phoenix water is not good at all unless filtered!). I drink it like that all the time. One day, I decided to try giving him ice and VERY cold water from the refigerator, and all of a sudden he can't get enough.

It turns out in our case, Jackson just has discriminating tastes :icon_biggrin: and requires ice to enjoy his sippy cups of water!

Glad he is enjoying it. I like my water warm. Ice cold would kill my teeth.

That is great you found out how to get him to take it :) I know I would much rather have ice water too :) Smart boy :)

We'll try that tomorrow. I thought we were having some success today. They took the spout in their mouths and only a little dribbled out. Everything looked great until I stepped away and then - Niagra Falls. They were just holding it in their mouths!

I'll have to try it from the fridge. What a fine idea! I don't like it cold, so I wouldn't have thought of it. Thanks!!! :clapping:

My boys don't like it ice cold. They gasp & pull back. It's funny. Ours do better on room temp :).
