Our Precious Boys Have Arrived

Monday, April 20th at 6am, DH and i headed to the hospital with our bags in tow, awaiting the scheduled c section. Despite being as big as a house, labor still had not begun, and my water was still in tact. At 715a the nurses began paperwork, at 830a the anesthesiologist came to speak with me, and at 930a i was taken into the smallest and most basic OR i have ever seen. They had me sit on the edge of the table, gave morphine through the IV, put on a mask with oxygen, and began to swab my back for the spinal. Not only did i NOT feel the spinal at all, the entire thing is a complete blur. One moment i was waiting for the needle to poke me, and the next i was waking up in a private room on another floor, babies in bassinetts by my side. And i could not be happier with the way that it went. :lol:

In any case, Kenneth Matthias was born at 1020am, weighing in at 8lbs 4oz, followed by Ian Sebastian at 6lbs 11oz at 1021am. Both babies were perfectly healthy at birth and required no NICU time. By the second night they were sleeping five hours straight ( from about midnight to 5am ), and on the morning of the third day we took them home with us. We cannot begin to tell you how absolutely in love we are with our precious boys. There just arent any words that can begin to describe how grateful and blessed we are to have them.

Wow those weights are amazing! My singleton was 7lbs 11oz! haha. I hope hope hope my c section is much like yours
