Our New Arrivals!

My in laws came to visit on Saturday Feb 23, because my dh had to be out of town on sunday and would be over an hour away. I figured it would be better to be safe than sorry to have someone here to help me with dd and my trip to L&D if I had to go. Saturday night my cat would not leave my side, he laid right next to me and tried as hard as he could to get on my tummy. I asked my mother in law if she thought if pets had an instinct as to what was to come. Well nothing happened that weekend. They stayed through Monday to watch my dd since I had to go to an NST at 8:45 that morning. So Monday I arrived at the hospital for my routine NST and all was going well. The on call dr came in to talk to me about my babies looking great and I asked her if it was normal to have period like cramping. I told her it was not very painful and some of them I didn't even feel. The contractions were occuring 3-5 minutes apart on the paper strip. She asked if I had been checked and I told her it was probably 2 weeks ago. So she checked me and I was already measuring 3 cm. My dr was consulted, he wanted me to be observed for another hour then checked. At 10:30 I had progessed to 4-5 cm. It was then determined that they wold do a csection at 11:15. I immediately called my dh and told him to get to the hospital as fast as he could. We waited till he got there and then I waS TAKEN BACK to the OR. The babies were born at 11:25, within 30 sec of each other. Logan Patrick was born first weighed 6 lbs. and was 19 in long. Morgan Noelle was born weighing 6lbs 1 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long with dark hair. They were very healthy, no nicu, just an extra day in the nursery because Logan had some fluid in his lungs and was on antibiotics. We are now home and are all doing very well. They are good breastfeeders and sleep pretty well.
