Our little turkeys...

Here's the short story! I'll write the long story later, and link to pictures over the weekend. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!!

We went into the hospital at 6 AM on Monday morning, hoping that breaking my water and a little pitocin would help to boost the labor that had come off and on for the past two weeks. At first, it looked like things were going really well--I went from 3 cm to 6 cm in a few hours, and we thought it was just a matter of time. But 18 hours of unproductive labor led to a difficult decision to have a c-section (more on that next time). Within half an hour of the decision, I was in the operating room, fifteen minutes after that, our babies were out, in about half an hour or so, we were all back together again in our hospital room. The doctor said the c-section went perfectly well

Elanor Rose was born at 12:38 AM, Tuesday, November 20th, 6 lbs., 6 oz. (well, she probably was exactly the same as her big brother, except she peed an ounce as she exited her old habitation for the strange new world which she now occupies), also, very loud. She has my coloring and chin.

Both are extremely healthy, very cute, cuddly and chubby. No NICU time!!! Picking them up, I have no earthly idea how they both fit inside and still had room to stir up so much trouble.

And soon I'll be on the FY page trying to figure out how to recover from a major surgery and take care of little bits at the same time!!

Ian Alexander was born at 12:37 AM, Tuesday, November 20th. 6 lbs., 7 oz., very loud! He has his daddy's nose and coloring.

Congrats...see you on the FY page. Feels so good to have those babies huh? I think the same thing as I look at my babies. How on earth did they fir inside me...AND still move around as much as they did. Nice little Thanksgiving blessings!!!
