Our girls are really gone

At 19 weeks it seems that everything was fine on Aug 1st, but just 1 week later my girls are dead. I didnt want to believe it when he told me that the reason why they didnt find a heart beat was beause they were dead. DEAD! But why! I ant believe I had to deliver babies i wouldnt be able to take home. It is the most terrible feeling and the most horrifi thing i ever had to go through. the doc said that it seems like it was TTTS because the one of the umbilical cord was bigger than the other and they were sharing a placenta plus there were only 2 veins for the smaller baby. I read up on TTTS and it seems that the findings does suggest it was this rare case of TTTS. I dont know why it had to happen to me. I couldnt bear to even look at them so I didnt. I only took their footprints and memories home with me. Do you think i should have at least seen them? I was just too scared to look.

Oh, sweetie...I'm so sorry. I lost girls to TTTS at 23 weeks, but it was a very obvious case (at least the week before the loss). My heart breaks for you. As far as seeing the girls, that is/was totally up to what you felt comfortable with. Don't question yourself for your reaction at the time. You have the memories of them inside you. I am so so sorry. We have been dealing with a simliar situation since 16+ weeks. I cannot even imagine what you are going through at the moment. My heart goes out to you.
