Tuesday our long awaited induction date arrived and we went in to the hospital. (37 weeks, 6 days) The Dr. came in to check postion with ultrasound and announced baby B was transverse and there would be a 50/50 chance of needing a c-section after A came out top get out B. It was our call - c-section or induction....

I had been worried about our smaller baby B the whole pregnancy and decided although I didn't want a c-section, it would be less stressful for her. So we went for the c-section. So then we waited around for 5 hours until it was time. The c-section was not all that bad. My husband was able to be there without getting too grossed out.
Both babies came out quickly and needed very little assistance, just a little air. Both were brought into the recovery room and nursed very well.

    Baby A - Kara - Katherine Brook 6.10
    Baby B - Ella - Elizabeth Grace 5.7

We came home two days later (Thanksgiving) and have done ok. I don't seem to have enough milk, but have supplemented with formula. I don't get much sleep, but expected that.

As miserable as I was - I'm glad we held out till they were healthy! We're going to need lots of strength to get through till they sleep throughout the night!

Congratulations! I must have been wonderful to come home with your baby girls on Thanksgiving! Were you able to get a good dinner?
It was probably a good call on the c/s - I would have done the same thing. And great weights, too! Enjoy your little ones and post pic when you're up to it!
