Our boys were apart for the first time yesterday (like in a different building apart, not just in a different room apart). Porter still gets pt for torticollis, and Bridger doesn't. We thought it would be easier this time if I just took Porter, and dh stayed home with Bridger. Well, Porter just screamed all the way through the session. He was only okay if I was snuggling him; otherwise he screamed and cried real tears the whole time. She couldn't even do anything with him and had to reschedule. He's never like this!

I get home, and dh says Bridger was the same way. He would snuggle him and he'd be okay, but then he'd put him down, and Bridger would scan the room and then just start screaming. He's never like this either! He did this until we got home and he saw Porter, and they were both fine ever since.

It's not separation from dh or me, because often they'll be with only one of us. It must have been separation from each other. I knew they had a deep connection, but man, I'm giving it a few months at least before we ever take one anyplace without the other ever again!!

That's rough on you all, but so sweet that they miss each other like that!! I wonder if we will have moments like that. Do you little ones sleep better with each other? J and J much prefer to be together, it so precious!! Can't wait for those kind of moments like that!!!!

That's sooo cool. My girls hate to be apart. When they were still in the NICU and getting ready to be discharged we discoverd that Petra's PDA reopened as was going to need surgury. Both girls had been eating well and holding temps till we found this out. Almost immediatly Nova decided not to hold her temps and stopped taking her feeds and needed to be tube feed again. Once Petra was out of surgury (still seperated) and was doing well, Nova began to eat again and hold her temp. Part of me thinks she just didn't want to go home without her little sister. Very weird...

That's so sweet! I haven't seperated them yet. I've wondered what would a happen.

My twins are a little older, but barely apart. They hug, but they also fight, bite, etc....
This summer Drew had surgery and both DH and I went to the hospital with him while my mom stayed with the girls. In the morning my mom took DD1 to Bible School and ran errands with DD2. She loved the outing. Then they came home and my mom put both girls down for naps. Laney didn't sleep very long and when my mom went upstairs. She was standing in her crip looking over into Drew's crib and calling out.
Then she came downstairs and went laughing and running around the back of the couch where their toys are. All of the sudden my mom heard her drop and she started crying and crying. We are convinced that she thought he was back there waiting to play. She was clingy all day my mom said.
We were able to bring Drew home that night and we had to keep him "quiet" for a few weeks. She didn't let him get to far out of her sight during that time. Even on the couple of days that my mom would take the girls to her house for a couple of hours she would come running back into the house and find him. After she would see he was okay she was off and playing again.
It was sweet and we haven't really seen much of this until now, since they haven't really been apart. I can tell they really LOVE eachother.

That is sweet. I don't think mine care one way or the other as to whether or not brother is around. I will be curious to see if that changes or not.

Omar for Hamza is just like a teething toy & Hamza for Omar is just like a sand bag; kicks his head wherever possible :D

Of course not to mention the pacifier fight, it's hang on Hamza's colthes but Omar wouldn't let it go.

well for as much of a bully as DS is, DD is LOST without him!!!! One day DH and DS were both sick but DD and I were not...I took DD to my moms for her regular babysitting (I work part time) and DH stayed home with DS - my mom said DD didn't want to get out of her jammies, let go of her binky or leave my moms arms ALL DAY! DS was the same way with DH - very clingy when he wasn't sleeping...I bring DD home and the two of the SCREAMED when they saw each other!
