Our boys have ARRIVED!

What a day......we arrived at the hospital around 5am EST this morning to get paperwork signed, and my wife was wheeled back for preop work around 6:00am. By 6:40 I was being asked to scrub up, and at 7:42am, both Trevor and Tyler made their grand entrance into the world via c-section. They took the babies to clean them up, perform agpar testing, then handed them back for some quick bonding time. I stayed in the OR during most of the sewing back up.....

Then me and the boys were wheeled to recovery only to have the wife arrive roughly 5 minutes later.......She lost alot of blood during recovery so were forced to stick around for longer than expected.....by 11am or so, we were being wheeled up to our actual room that we will remain in for the next 3 days. I was so overwhelmed because unlike a vaginal delivery, my wife was so out of it and zoning and didn't really appear to bond, smile, or want to hold the kids. But I have to keep in mind that she just went thru major surgery.....The love is already there I'm sure.....

And yah - Mum will be fine! That blood loss takes a lot out of a person in addition to the surgery! I lost a fair bit after my 3rd was born and remember being TOTALLY woozy and out of it and in a whole other 'world' for awhile!!
