Our birth story

Hi --

Our sweet babies are here!

We went in for our scheduled c-section on New Year's Eve and Noelle Marie (Ellie) and Evan Alexander were born at 9:28am and 9:29am, respectively.

Noelle was 5 lbs 11 oz & 19 inches, and Evan was 6 lbs. & 18 1/2 inches.

Everything went very smoothly and we were never apart from our babies - they came straight to the recovery room with us and Noelle was nursing like a champ within an hour.

I even got to tandem nurse the first day, although Evan didn't latch as readily. Evan was just slightly jaundice - but not enough to require lights or anything - just needed to gain some weight.

We're doing well now... just trying to build my milk supply and trying to get away from topping them off with formula once or twice a day.

We're tired, but thrilled to be a family of five, now.

This board is great - so glad I found you all. Look forward to reading all your birth stories and to seeing you on the 1st year board.
