Our big babies are here

    Hey, everyone! I would have posted sooner...but my parents have been here visiting and helping out for the past week. They were a lifesaver, especially those first few days home from the hospital.

    I went in on the 10th for a scheduled c-section. The doctor ended up calling about 30 minutes before I was headed into surgery to say he was going to be an hour late. No biggie...that hour went by super fast.

    Kinsley was born first at 3:19 pm weighing in at 6lbs 5ozs, 19 inches long.

    Eligh was born at 3:22pm (took a while because he was stuck up in my ribs) weighing in at 6lbs 10ozs, 20 3/4 inches long.

    No time was spent in the NICU, which is great! I'm not feeling as horrible as I thought I would, just sore. I was supposed to be sent home on Saturday, but I asked if I could go home Friday and my doc and twins' doc said that we could.

    We all had our one week appointment and my incision is healing great and I lost 31 lbs, and have 9 to go! YAY!! The babies gained back the 4 ozs they lost when we went home. Kinsley is back at 6 lbs 5 ozs and Eligh is now weighing 6 lbs 11 ozs. K is 20 inches long and E is 21 inches long. So, they are already growing like weeds. LOL!

    Congratulations! I'm glad you had help. That first week is a huge adjustment! They are adorable!

    Congratulations! They are so sweet! I picked out the same brown and blue outfit for my boys to come home in! So cute!

    Congrats! They were good sizes.

    Is Eligh pronounced like "Eli"? If so, that's my little guy's name, too--just a different spelling.

    Yep, I had to be different with his spelling. ;)

    I think they are little cuties, too.
