we still haven't settled on names for them!

Anyone else still undecided this far along?

We had narrowed it down to four and I thought we were getting close ... then the other day DH said his favorite is suddenly not his favorite anymore, and that he really has mixed feelings about our top four. He said, "I feel like the right names are still out there somewhere, and I just haven't heard it or come across it in a while ..."

(This after reading through ALL the boy names in the Baby Name Wizard and the Five-Star Baby Name Advisor!)

We were pretty late in picking Evan's name. Give it time.. perhaps you just need to see them first! :)

We were very late with this baby. Paul read all the names in our 10000 Baby Names book and then we narrowed it down to a quite long list. We just decided last week on a boy and a girl name.

My c-section is scheduled for this Wedneday (yes, 4 days from now) and DH tells me yesterday that he wants to spell Nicole with an "H" as in Nichole. This would have been all fine and dandy if he had told me this 3 months ago BEFORE we had our showers and people gave us gifts with their names on them. I swear, I've shown him multiple gifts, not to mention our shower invitation, with their full names written out and not a word about it until now.

So ladies, make sure you write the names down and DH knows how they're spelled, lol!

Danielle that makes me laugh! My husband keeps telling me he doesn't care about the spellings but I keep waiting on him to decide I have spelled one of them wrong! We still don't have a middle name for Whitney that is set in stone. Hopefully we can figure that out soon. I am so excited for you since you only have 4 days to go!! I can't wait to hear how it all goes.

I won't be surprised if that happens to us, too. And actually in some ways I think that's cool--as long as you have a few solid possibilities to go in with, you can take a day or two to get to know the babies and see which name seems to fit which one. Actually my bro and SIL did that with their DS and then again with their DD--I think we knew the FN by day 2 and the MN by day 3.

My DSS was "Thingy" or "Thingummy" for TWO WEEKS after he was born! They finally had to pick something cause the government was preparing to FINE them! Poor kid!

I am still a couple weeks behind you, but we have no names and are nowhere close to chosing any. I just figure that once their born, DH will have to help me come up with something, he'll have no choice. So as of right now I have just let name thing go....

My girls were in the hospital for two days without names  Yep, the nurses came in several times a day to ask us if we had names for them yet. My husband even broke down and bought a baby name book because we just couldn't decide. We just kept thinking we had plenty of time, until they came a month early and we were totally unprepared. We had some weird looks from the nurses!!

Our girls were 3 days old when we named them - I had to before the released me that day! We hadn't known the genders and just thought we'd have more time. I also didn't think we'd have 2 girls - we had 2 boy names. We settled on Annalise and Jillian - turns out they fit perfectly.

What pretty names! Annalise was actually on our list for girls' names, and I had toyed with Jillian, too. :)

We had Addison's name pick several weeks before they were born but we did not name Ava until 2 hours before we were discharged from the hospital - AND while we were in the hospital the poor girl was called several different names but neither of us just loved any of them - Then the day we were leaving, the First Photo lady came by and informed us that they did birth announcements and she could have them ready in 1 hour!! well that FORCED us to pick a name - DH went to the nurses desk and got a name book (we wanted to make sure that we had not missed the most perfect name!) He came to the name Ava and it means delicate little bird - well that is just what she was!!

My friend had decided on dylan for her wee boy and was adament that was what he was getting called. But once he was born she thought he isnt a dylan he is a blair. So all the way through his name had been dylan and at the last minute she changed her mind with a name she hadnt even thought of! I think sometimes you just know when they are born what their names are.

We decided the names about 2 weeks ago, it has been really hard because I already have 3 boys and my kids have mostly boy cousins so there are not many possibilities available, at least that both of us like. Besides, my DH hates the names that I choose and viceversa. I really like one of the names we chose, but I´m not 100% convinced on the other. Plus, my kids don´t like one of the names either!! :pardon
