We had our 4 month appt on Friday, and I guess it went good. I was worried the pedi was going to ask all these developmental questions about what they were/were not doing, and I was going to have to answer with a bunch of "nos" but luckily that didn't happen....

and weighing in at 13 lb 11oz, was miss Lilly Sue, and 25 inches tall! That's 90ish percentile for height and weight!

mr. Owen Robert came in at 14 lb 7.5 oz, and also 25 inches tall. He's 50% height and weight, but 75% head, no wonder he's having a hard time picking it up!

Pedi, who I love, just said do more tummy time (they're still not lifting their heads much, but I was pretty bad about tummy time until a few weeks ago because they hated it so much), and that everything was great! We're still exclusively nursing, or at least bottles are EBM, and she said no need to start solids until six months, which is just fine with me.

I guess DD is going to take after her Daddy, he's 6'5" and she also resembles the women in his family quite a bit. DS looks more like my side...I'm 5'1" hope Owen is taller than Lilly when they grow up...heehee

    Jennifer :)

Sounds like a great appointment! They grow up fast, before you know it you'll be taking them in for their 1 year check. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Sounds like everything is going great! We go for our 4 month visit in 2 weeks, but my kids are still a lot smaller than yours. Mayson was only 10 lbs 2 oz two weeks ago. I have been wondering how you all are doing. Great job on still breastfeeding/pumping for them!

Nice to hear of a great visit. Yeah for you and your twinkies.

Tummy time can be challenging. I got this $6.00 Water- filled floor toy that Amy loves--well likes and doesn't hate. It gets her to stay on her tummy longer. It has floating fishes and bugs under the clear plastic as well as two blow up frogs that stand up. It is made by munchkin and I boght it at walmart last month. We just took it out and Amy will go on it 2 times a day. Maybe it will be good for you. Gotta' get in that tummy time any way ya' can....or so
    I've been told.

Congrats on the 4 month appointment! Sounds like all is going well. We just had ours a few weeks ago and they still have a hard spot ontheir legs from the shots. OUCH! It doesn't seem to bother them thought so I don't worry too much about it.

Our little ones hated tummy time also but once they realized they could push themselves up and lift their heads to see me or DH they enjoy it a little more. They are still far from loving it, though!
