Our 4 month checkup

    Time is flying by. Kelsey is 10lbs 12oz and 21 3/4" long. Ryley is 11lbs 5oz and 22" long. They both are still below average and not on the charts yet. Their doctor says to wait and start cereal at 5 months old due to their prematurity and juice at 6 months. Both still don't have great head control but they are getting there. They hate tummy time and are not pushing up yet on their arms. There pedi said by 6 months they should be able to do this and gain control of their heads. Their adjusted age is 2 months so we need to take that into consideration.

    Kelsey has discovered her hands and she will swat at toys now. Ryley hasn't yet but he is getting there. They are smiling, cooing and starting to laugh. :D I don't have much time so this is a short one. Sorry.

    It sounds as if you had a good appt. Sounds like the doctor was pleased. Solids & Juice are not going to put weight on your babies.. formula/breastmilk is designed to do that. It's cute they are starting to laugh! That is always adorable!

    OMGoodness! That picture just made me smile so big, they are toooooo cute for words. Glad the appt went well. I agree, formula/bm is where their calories come from, not "regular" food.
