I am approaching 21 weeks and even though I've had what I consider to be "normal" ligament and stretching pains, today just takes the cake. It's severe. And I'm positive I'm not dealing with a urinary tract issue or anything like that. It's just really miserable to get to a standing position, and then move forward walking. I came home from work today and spent the rest of the day in bed, which helped. But trips to the bathroom are killing me!

Anyone else going through this? I'm wondering if it will ever let up...

I don't remember having such painful ligament pain, but I'm sorry it is so bad. I'm glad the rest is helping. Maybe a call to your doctor to see what they say? They may have more suggestions on easing the pain. :grouphug:

I do agree that you should call your OB. Mine are/were uncomfortable but never that painful, I am sorry you are in pain.

I have had a lot of pelvic pressure/pain since about 20 weeks as well. It has gotten worse as I progress and my belly gets heavier. Both babies are head down and one is very low down in my pelvis which makes it worse. Rolling over in bed can hurt, as well as standing up and walking. It usually gets better as I continue to walk. I have been on bedrest for the past 5 weeks and it has been consistent throughout, although some days it's better than others. Unfortunately I don't think it will get better though - you just need to get lots of rest and time lying on your side. But even then it will likely not go away completely. I wouldn't worry unless the pain is accompanied by other signs like abdominal cramping, contractions, persistent/rhythmic lower back pain, etc.

  5. Yes, I am 23 weeks and when I stand up sometimes..I go right back down. Sometimes its not bad and others I think ima die. Its weird..sometimes it is accompainied by sever pressure like baby is going to pop out. Bathroom trips in the middle of the night are bad. Yes honey I feel your pain. the RLP I have been having with this twin pregnancy is far worse than I had with my singelton!

I had something similar when I was pg with dd. I could not stand up at all without pain. The first dr. I saw said it was either ligament pain or appendicitis. Turned out to be neither, dd actually clamped my uretur (the tube from your kidney to your bladder) shut. It fixed itself on its own, but I did spend a day or two on the l & d floor. If it does not ease up I would talk to your ob.

I've definitely had the same thing for quite a while now. The bad news is it hasn't gone away, but the good news (maybe?) is that it hasn't gotten worse...just one of those things I guess.

Ive had a lot of pain from my ligaments stretching. I asked my peri about it since it was real bad. It started probably around 20 something weeks along. I would get my pain toward my left & right sides. The peri said there are ligaments there that stretch & can be uncomfortable. I still get it and it does hurt real bad at times. To the point where I can't move or talk because if I do it will hurt even worse. But mine would last for a few minutes at a time, not for hours where I would need to stay in bed.

Thank you all for your advice! I called and spoke with the nurse at the peri's office this morning. They believe it's the loosening of joints, per the location where I'm experiencing the most pain. I was advised to get up more often instead of sitting for longer periods of time. So I'll try to do this and grin and bear it for now!
