anybody have groin pain as early as 17 weeks - i got up this am and could barely walk - feels like i pulled a muscle - i went to the ob they check my cervix which was fine, he thinks it is just ligament pain - but it is killing me!!!

  2. My groin/round ligament pain started really early, I think it was around 12 weeks as I still had morning sickness.

I'm having that PAIN for five days now. I'm unable to walk without a cane to support me else, I'll fall. I'm 32 weeks though so you can imagine the pain and the pressure. This is the first time I bawled my eyes out this pregnancy because of pain..that bad. My OB, the nurse and OB on call said it's round ligament pains.

It is the worst pain!!! For me, that was one of the hardest parts about my pregnancy. The only thing that helped--I started taking Percocet as part of my pre-term labor med-cocktail. And since it is a pain narcotic (used in my case to relax the uterus), it took that groin pain away almost instantly!!!

Sorry, that is probably not an option for you! But what about a nice memory foam mattress to help relieve some of the stress?!

I also had it very early on 12 weeks I think, and it miraculously disappeared when the twins were born. It actually felt like, one of the twins was going to fall out at any time.

i have been having the same thing for some time now. doing anything but sitting still hurts. the most trouble i have is getting out of bed. no matter what side i sleep on i have at least one leg that doesn't want to cooperate and i have to get up and out of bed and walk around for a few minutes to get it moving. then i have to carefully climb back in to bed and lay on the other side. i am buying a body pillow today so that i can have more cushion.

    lots of love!

Yes, mine are so bad I can't move. On a good day I can try to get some things done around the house for about 20 minutes then the pain starts and I am stuck in bed again. I was 14 weeks when I went to the doctor last time and she told me to get a maternity support belt. Well, that didn't work for me. Mine are just getting worse as the days go by. I am going to the doctor on Monday because it is to the point that I walk slower than a 90 year old lady. I am going to ask for a note to stop working since I really can't do anything. I hope you feel better soon.

Yes definitly. I also had a lot of pressure around that time. If I had been sitting down for a little while and then got up I felt like I had to hold my belly up, I would also feel a lot of pressure when I would pee. I think the best advice someone gave me was that I was going to have all kinds of weird aches and pains and as long as they weren't consistantly bad for more than a few hours it was probably nothing to worry about. My body started to adjust more around 22 weeks and I didn't have those pains anymore.
