Anyone having very uncomfortable Braxton Hicks? I'm 36wks 5days and have they have been waking me up for about 4 days in a row. They last from about 4AM to 12 pm...annoying!!! I went to the OB to have them check me and they said they're probably Braxton Hicks (they are not increasing in intensity, but they still hurt). I'm about 1cm dilated (I'm having a scheduled CS on 9/18/07 both girls are breech).
    Can anyone relate??

Around 35 weeks is when they became more painful for me. They woke me up around 4am every morning, and then once I had my 2 gallons of water before lunch, they weren't so bad! Hang in there...you are soooooo close! :hug99:

I can relate. I'm scheduled for next week on Wednesday and this week is going to be agonizing! I have been having contractions for about a week. Sometimes they go on for two or more hours and are uncomfortable. I don't know how I'm going to deal with them for the next week. It seems like something should be happening. I wish I was delivering vaginally so that maybe I was at least earning credit for them. Hang in there...I'm with ya.

I have been getting them since like 20 weeks, maybe a little before that. And I was shocked becasue everyone says they don't hurt. Well mine definitly do. Sometimes like you I just keep getting them. And I have to sit down and rest and breathe thru them. I had ZERO braxton hicks with my first son. So when it came time to have him I guess my uterus had no clue what to do, so they induced me at 42 weeks.

My braxton hicks hurt too. I have just quit calling them BH and calling them contrax for ease of conversation with people but mine do definitely hurt. When we go shopping if I push a cart I have to stop sometimes to breathe through them and let them pass. My cvx is still closed, as of last Monday, so they are still not "real" contractions but they do hurt and are very uncomfortable sometimes.

Mine aren't that painful but the pressure from them is intense. I had them for a while now and I thought the babies were just moving and when I went to the hospital last Sunday (at 32 weeks) they were picking them up on the monitors and I told them it just felt like a bunch of pressure and they said that is BH. But of course, everything else hurts (pubic bone, legs, feet and the abdominal muscles) so I am sure it is just a matter of time.
