At my last appointment, it was suggested I purchase a prenatal cradle to help with back pain. Little did I realize that it would go from an annoying ache to down right painful in a weeks time. I have an appointment on Monday to be fitted for this, but was curious if anyone else is wearing one, and if it has helped. I am 27 weeks with a 50 inch waist. I never thought this would get so hard and painful!!
I really dont mean to whine, but am just afraid I wont be able to make it another 10+ weeks!!!

    Thanks for the input!!!

I will be curious to hear what anyone else can share. I am 21 weeks with a 49 inch waist already. I bought a Medela maternity belt but not sure that it willwork for too much longer. Besides lugging this belly around I get numb spots on both of my thighs when I stand/walk for more than 25 minutes. Which is often. I too am scared about how big I will get.

Looking forward to some input. Also are you measuring around your belly like at belly button level? Just wondering.,..

I would definitly tell anyone with twins to get the maternity belt. It's been a lifesaver!!! I am 33 weeks along and both my little guys weigh just under 7 lbs!!! I would not be able to survive without one. I too got fitted for by the resident physical therapists and it's lasted thus far from when I got it at 22 weeks. It's adjustable and grows with you. Mine is called a "Mom- Ez" belt. I guess that would be my advice for the pp. Also, when you buy the belt from the office insurance helps with it somewhat. Good luck!

At 20 weeks there were a couple of days that I needed a maternity belt. It seems to be most helpful when I'm on my feet for long periods of time and my back hurts. However, it seems to press my bladder somehow <_<. Other than that I do notice the pain subside right away. The odd thing is it only hurt last week two days. I guess there are more days down the road.

    Hi,

I used the pre-natal cradle late in my pregnancy and it was great for taking the edge off of the weight on my back, but I woulnd't say that that it removed the weight.

I did however, visit a chiropractor weekly for my entire pregnancy. It was the best money I spent as it kept me aligned and pain free and I was large!!! Had nearly 14 pounds of baby in me by the end.

    Good luck

My maternity belt was a live saver. If I didn't wear it all day, I was hurting by the end of the day and had a hard time sleeping.

I got mine a BRU and it worked great.

I also had my DH rub my back everynight and that helped a lot. Hang in there, it won't last forever!
