there are many things i wish i could buy for the babies that are not available in greece (now it's bumbos and sippy cups for example). i can't seem to find a web site that i can order such things and get them shipped here.
anyone know of sites that will ship to europe?

I think eBay is your best bet if you ask the seller what the shipping would be. Have you tried other countries in Europe? I know online shopping isn't that popular yet, but I do know e.g. Bumbos are available in my home country (the Netherlands) though usually they have a different brand name.

Do you have anyone over in the states that could buy the items for you, and then ship them all together in once box to you in Greece?

Ugh I hate it when i've typed an answer and I lose it! Here we go again ...

I too have this problem as i live in israel but come from britain.

You may want to try to order from another european country to save on shipping. Athough given that things cost more to start with it may be easier to buy in the USA.

Some ebay.co.uk sellers will ship internationally, as with some baby shops (try hunting for stores on google.co.uk - then it's in english but also within europe). amazon.co.uk works for books (but it can get expensive).

Beware customs charges - they can be extortionate.

A lot of things I either ask my in-laws or parents to bring over. Or bring ourselves after visiting the UK (only once so far).

Often we end up living without. Bumbos was a good example. We visited the UK when the girls were 4-5 months of age. I dithered and dithered, knowing we'd only have a few months with the bumbo. In the end I occasionally regretted our decision not to buy one, but not often as we just rigged up some cushions in a cardboard box and the laundry basket. The girls enjoyed sitting in it for a while but then wanted to stand and bounce so we bought an exersaucer ... (I seem to remember you were seeking EI advice recently, so this may not be so helpful to you, sorry).

It is frustrating reading about all these great things and not being able to access them ...
    Good luck

Have you tried mothercare (you'll have to google it for the right website address)...they are based in the UK but they ship to Canada. I'm sure they would ship to other european countries.
