DH and I went up to get the girls this morning and this awful smell hit us at the top of the stairs. WOW. As we got closer to the nursery, it got worse. Much worse.

Breena was laying quietly in her crib. Her sister was yelling her head off - we think in protest to the smell. It was Breena who had exploded her diaper. Ugh.

The poor kid had a double ear infection and was on antibiotics (amoxicilan). After about 5 days on it, she got diarhea and I stopped giving it to her on day 7. Her last dose was Tuesday. Today is Friday and she still has it. She hasn't been eating much solids in the last couple days, though she will take a bottle. She also now has a red rash that is the worst on her back and chest and the worst diaper rash ever. She just sits on my lap with her head on my chest. She is also getting her top two teeth.

I'm taking her to the doctor at 11 this morning. I swear I'm at the pediatrician every week with one, the other or both. Ugh. They were such healthy babies until I started taking them to Gymboree. Now it's one thing after another.

Ugh! Sorry you're dealing with the stench and the sick babies. I had to respond because I just realized that my babies were NEVER sick until we started going to Gymboree as well! That stinks!

Oh, man. I am so sorry. Poor little thing -- she sounds just miserable. I hope she is healthy soon!

We had one bout of bronchilitis at Christmas, but then nothing until Gymboree 2 months ago. Now it seems we're at the pedi every week: stomach viruses, ear infections, runny noses and coughs. And I get it all too. We joined for a year because that was the cheapest and I really love it, but this is getting ridiculous.

    Oh no..poor babies!

My daughter had a long run of sickness (she is 3 now) and I put her on probiotics. This saved us completely! She had unexplained diarrhea for months and bad stomach problems too. I know you know the reason for your girls diarrhea but get her on probiotics and I swear it will clear up. It will also help with any tummy probs they are having. Unfortunately it won't help with the teething or ear infections.

I gave her BioGaia (there are other kinds out there though) infant drops everyday for a month or so..but her issues cleared up in less than a week.

If you google "infant probiotic drops" you will get lots of info.

Just as an FYI, I gave my boys the drops too when they were going through a colicky stage and I swear that helped too!

I didn't even know you could do that! We've had double ear infections, stomach virus and unexplained runny noses and congestion as well. There's ALWAYS someoned there with a runny nose and a mom nearby saying "oh, it's allergies". Yeah, right. I'm seriously considering using the rest of our credit on their first birthday and just getting together with a few moms from our local multiples group once a week or so. It's free and we know to leave our kids at home if they're sick.
