How many should I have per baby for 0-3 months? I just had my shower and I am not sure if I should return some or not. Any advice will help!

I think it really varies on what temp you keep your house at and the weather where you live. We live in FL, but we keep our house at 73 in the summer and as low as 68 in the winter. B/c the ac is running most of the time, my boys were always in footed outfits or regular clothes. I liked some of the Carter's sets that are about 5 onesies and they sell the matching pants. That way the boys would be coordinated, but not matching. They wore a lot of onesies in the winter, but I also do laundry every day so I didn't really need that many. I say start with about 10 and get more if you need more.

I would recommend about 10 each, ours were big onesie wearers, especially after birth, it was easier for us to change them with a onesie or a sleeper on.

We probably had at least 10 each of the various sizes. I would recommend getting some in newborn size (for 5-7lbs) as we found those were perfect for about the first month.

My Lo's were not even in 0-3 until about 3 mo. They wore some preemie onsies for a good month. They were the preemie onsies from Walmart and they run a little big. They definitly wore newborn for awhile, like I said until about 3 months. I would get newborn onsies and a few preemie just in case. The 0-3 will be nice but it will depend on how big your LO's are. I also noticed different brands were either smaller or bigger, so you will have to see. Some newborn stuff fit them for awhile and some they grew out of real quick. My babies were 4.12 (18.5 in) and 5.5 (18 in) when born so hopefully that can give you an idea. They were big onsie wearers and still are.

I would get newborn (at least 8-10 each)
a few preemie (4-5) you can always return if you don't open
0-3 (at least 8-10) they will eventually grow into it if not right away.

I have so many onesies that I don't even know how many I have! They're great and I use them all. One baby spits up on the other... change the onesie. Diaper leaks... change the onesie. Formula runs down the chin and you don't catch it... change the onesie. You can seriously go through 3 or so in one day. :)

I honestly didn't use onesies super often until recently, but then again, mine pretty much LIVED in sleepers for the first 5 months. It was late summer when they were born though, so I just kept them in sleepers all the time, through the winter. Now, the last couple months, I have started putting them into more outfits, so I use the more, and they are mostly the ones that come in the outfits, not just single onsies. Only occasionally do I actually use a plain or single onsie, and usually it's under something (cause it's cold). I expect, though, that'll I'll be using a lot more "just onsies" this summer, cause it can get real hot here. I plan to put them in just their onsies, or even just tshirts and diapers (they are in cloth, so they are cute to show them! *grins*).

i wouldn't return a thing. we received tons of clothing and wondered if it was too much. as it turns out there's no such thing as too much. keep it all and use it happily.

My girls were Summer babies [born on 7/7] so I had them in onesies almost All the time during their first months. I'd say have about 8-15 onesies on hand. If they are similar in size then they can both wear the ones you have.. It really just depends on how often you want to do laundry and how much space you have to store clothes ^_^

During the first month or so they poop often [4-6 times a day] so there is more room for accidents where you'd have to change their clothes multiple times during the day.

You can always have "sacrifice onesies." Those are the ones you cut-off your baby with a pair of scissors because the blow-out is so bad you don't want to pull it over their head!!! :D
