Zach will pee almost every time I take his diaper off. We have naked time in themorning and at night. I cannot do it all day long with our busy schedule. But should I put cloth training pants on him so he know when he is going while dressed? he has never asked to potty at all. but seems to know what to do when naked. Josh alas has no desire at all. he whines for a diaper on NOW.

Oh i give Z lots of pos reinforcement when he does. But will it make J feel bad or left out??? Weird ? I know!

TIA its been 5+ years since I PT my dd B)

I had to train mine one at a time. William wanted nothing to do with PTing and Nathan got the gist of it quite quickly. I started with a rewards system of a mini m&m for a successful trip to the potty for the first week. William did get a little upset about not getting a candy, but not so upset that he was willing to go sit on the potty for it. We moved to only getting a candy for poopy on the potty for a couple weeks after that. If you think one of them is really ready get your DH to take the other kids away for the day and really work with him one on one all day.

Yes, it sounds like he's ready. We trained Danielle because she was ready. Now, it's a couple of months later and Rachel is starting to show the signs that she's ready so we will probably try to train her soon. Rachel was a bit sad at times because she wanted jelly beans for going potty so sometimes we would let her sit and "try" and if she geniunely tried, she would get one. Once Danielle was really into the training, she didn't even care if she got a treat so we just stopped giving them and then Rachel wasn't as jealous. But, we made a big deal of praising Rachel for things to make her feel special as well. And, we started letting her sleep in big girl underwear on top of her diaper at night so she felt like a big girl too.

Hannah was ready and Ben was not. So we went to the store and Hannah got to choose underwear and Ben did not. He was bummed, but he got over it. I told him that when he goes pee pee in the potty then he can choose underwear.

I just went for it with the underwear and we had great success (regular underwear, not the padded training pants or pull-ups). I praised her like crazy and left it at that. No stickers, no candy, just because the praise was enough (I would have used the other stuff had I needed to). We made up a pee-pee dance and we danced each time instead. She LOVED it! The nice thing was that Ben never felt left out because he didn't get a sticker or candy, KWIM.

He just has no interest in using the potty yet. And I have never really felt guilty that he doesn't get the attention. He gets it for other things and it all evens out in the end!

ok is it normal too for Zach the one interested in going potty to want to go one day then demanding diapers the next? Is that regressing or the normal way of PT? Tx again. If I offer him his fav airplane shaped pretzels he will go pee in potty for me. should i do this every few hours when we are home and i can leave him naked? he also loves to take his diaper off.

    TIA
