Only a couple more days...

Hi all! I thought I would give a quick update on me (or non-update as it seems to be <_< ). My c-section is scheduled for Wednesday morning at 7:30 AM. I am hoping to go into labor anytime before that though. If I do go into labor on my own I will still try for the VBAC. Either way I will have my baby in my arms no later than Wednesday mid-morning. I have been contracting like crazy this past week to no avail. I am miserable. My children are driving me insane and I am just done. Right now I am sitting here contracting but I've stopped bothering to time them anymore (although they feel different and maybe a little more "real" right now). I just don't think I will know when it really is the real thing. Unless my water breaks I probably won't end up at the hospital until this little one is coming out. :laughing: Tomorrow we are walking in a parade with my OB and his staff and other families. I'm hoping that does it.

We have been trying everything I can think of to try to bring labor on. But nothing's working. Any suggestions???

My sister came up on Friday and took a bunch of maternity pictures for me--I will try to post some a little bit later.

I hope everyone is doing well. I will be sure to post my birth story after she is here.

 

Wow, only a few more days (or hopefully sooner!). So, if you make it unitl Wed, you'll have a c/s. But, if you go into labor on your own, you will try for a VBAC? Is that b/c they don't want to induce a VBAC so you just scheduled a c/s instead of an induction? I'm just curious as to why you are opting for either depending on if you go into labor or not.

The parade sounds fun....maybe you should stand on your head and walk on your hands...that might work LOL!!! Hang in there, you are SOOOOOO close! I can't wait to see the maternity pics!

I scheduled the c-section a couple weeks ago because we thought there was a problem that would have made it impossible for me to try for a VBAC. But now we know that problem isn't there at all. So, I really want a VBAC but it is so nice have a real "end date" that I haven't canceled the c-section. It's kind of selfish of me but I'm so done. And no they won't induce for a VBAC--actually my OB doesn't like to induce at all unless absolutely necessary.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about the placenta issues they were checking you for. I'm glad it's resolved!!! YAY

 

Just wanted to say good luck on Wednesday if you make it that long. I hope you get your VBAC. I completely understand about being done, I felt the same way.

Good luck Ronda! I have been contracting for the last week too - DH and I even went to the hospital last night and they sent us home because my cervix was still closed. The contractions are the right distance apart, but not doing anything. I'm right with you - so ready to be done - but my doctor won't induce until June 10th.

 

OY I am so D_O_N_E too. My contractions arent doing anything to me other than making me grumpy and miserable. We are almost there!! :yahoo: :hug99: I can wait!!!
