Only 2 days to go and SO over it

OK, I almost feel like a bad mommy even writing this, but I only have 2 days to go and I am SOOOO over this. :umm: I'm sick of being in the hospital, I can hardly breathe when I get up/roll over/sit up, Baby A has her feet DIRECTLY on my cervix and kicks at it 24/7, my back hurts constantly, and I'm going on 49 days of hospital food. I know these last couple of days will be important in the long run, but it seems that ever since I got my c/s date, the days have drug on FOREVER.

To top it off, I'm still doing 3 NSTs each day and my girls :itwins: are just done with it. They hate when I lie on my back (as do I, and I generally throw up at least every couple days from lying on my back too long). They kick/punch/head butt the monitors the entire time I'm on them. I think they're about as ready to be born as I am ready to have them born.

So, I know I should be thrilled that we made it this far considering my doctors expected us to deliver at 26 weeks, but my hormones have taken my body hostage. Kudos to those of you who carry 6 and 7 lb babies to 38 weeks or so. :bow2: I don't know how you do it.

OK, enough of the pity party. We'll have our precious pumpkins on Wednesday between 3 and 5 in the afternoon/evening and I am thrilled to meet these little acrobats! :laughing: Thanks for listening and supporting us through this ordeal.

I promise to post the delivery story/pictures ASAP afterwards.

I completely understand what you're saying! I was in the hospital for 13 weeks. By the end of it I told my peri that I was going to get up and do jumping jacks if they didn't let me have babies!
I ended up making it to 36 weeks, but I promise that last week was miserable! I was swollen from head to toe and my babies were the same- one hated for me to be on my side (she'd kick at the mattress) and the other hated for me to be on my back. There was just no winning!

Congrats on making it this far! And you baby girls!

Danielle, :hug:'s momma. You are doing such a fantastic job... it's okay to vent here, don't stress it. We all know that your babies come first, but that at times it is so very hard! I can't believe only two more days until you are holding your babies. :wub: I can't wait to see them and here all about it. :Clap:

 

Danielle, you are so close now!! YEAH!! Believe me...I know how you feel. Today makes 5 weeks for me in the hospital and I keep telling myself I need to be here at least 2 more weeks. I can't wait to see pictures of your little ones. I am sure they will be perfect!

 

Danielle, you are so close!! And you´ve done such a great job cooking your little girls for so long! You can vent as much as you want to here, we can totally relate!

 

DO NOT feel like you are a bad mommy for venting a little. I've been watching you and you are always the most positive and cheerful person here. You are also super awesome at cheering on others who are having a hard time. We will be induced this Friday at 37+1 and I wish everyday that I never asked doc "what's the plan?" As soon as he said the 19th, the days have just dragged on endlessly. To make matter worse, we live in a rural area that seems to call off school for excess wind at times, so me and my girls are sitting here looking at each other and listening to the clock tick away. You are doing an awesome job and those baby girls will thank you for it with their sweet smelling presence in just 2 days! In 2 days you'll be a twin mommy!!!

 

Danielle you are such an inspiration to so many on here. I would have gone stir crazy weeks ago. Can't wait to here your birth story and see pics.

I feel your pain! I have been contracting all day every day since Saturday and am just tired of this! I am so over being prego! I dont know what its like to be trapped in the hospital, though I do visit it monthly for a few hours and hate that so you must be going stir crazy!I wish at times that I never knew how much I was dilated because every day seems like a month as I sit and wait and time contractions when I think they are getting stronger. Or think my water will break at any moment! I do know there is an end in sight however I cant take this till January 8th! I hope you have a great delivery and cant wait to see pics!

YOu have done an amazing job loving those girls! I totally know the feeling of being 'done'. It's no reflection on the love for your babies!
I'm thrilled for you! best of luck and next week at this time, when your awake all night long, on that amazing new baby(ies) high, you'll be amazed that they were even in your belly!

Hey Danielle, I can't believe you get babies tomorrow! That is so exciting. I can't believe how long you have been in the hospital taking good care of those two sweet babies. You have done a great job mama! You should be proud of yourself. I can't wait to read your birth story and see pictures of your little miracles!

Thank you all for the well wishes and kind words. It's been such a lazy day here. I was feeling nauseus this mornig, so I took and phennergan and slept most of the day. It's all hitting me that tomorrow is THE day! I'm so excited to have my little girls, but very nervous about the c-section and recovery. I know that ladies do this every day and I'll be fine, just nervous!
