One Year Appt.

We have our one year appt. on Tuesday. Neither Wes nor Leah are walking. Leah pulls up on EVERYTHING and cruises. She loves to walk holding your hands. Wes pulls up; however, not all the time. He's not cruising and has absolutely NO interest in walking around. He pulls his legs up from under himself . . . LAZY! Should I be concerned?

 

I wouldn't worry about it! Every baby is different! My boys were cruising on their first birthday and at their appt. about two weeks or so later- they were both walking! It happens overnight it seems!!!Jack was almost a week behind Paul in cruising and in walking. They both had no teeth at their first year appt. either- and now Jack has six and Paul has 4 and they are almost running!

I wouldn't be. Arwen started finally taking steps (and now walks) at 13 months. Lorien, took her sweet time and just started taking steps without holding on about 2 weeks ago (so she was 14.5 months). Your babies are still TOTALLY within the normal range. I wouldn't be worried AT ALL. Some babies just take their sweet time.

 

I totally agree with pp. You don't have anything to worry about. Some babies just walk later!

 

Nope - we just had ours and neither of our girls are walking - the pedi had NO concerns about it whatsoever.

 

Ditto PPs - neither of my boys are walking. I am more concerned that they don't wave bye-bye yet or have ANY words, but I guess my ped is VERY low-key, b/c she didn't seem worried in the least.

 

First of all, this is my first post in 1-5... we are 1 tomorrow! We have our one year check up tomorrow. Liam is pulling up and cruising furniture... Ava, eh, she can take it or leave it... she still hasn't pulled up all the way on the furniture, just to her knees. She actually doesn't even really care about crawling unless she REALY wants something. I wouldn't worry... they will all of a sudden do it when you least expect it.
