For those who have already potty trained there twins, did you have one potty chair for them to share or did you have two so they could go at the same time? We're going to start potty training after the Holidays and I thought potty chairs would be a good Christmas present but I'm not sure if I should get one or two.

Oh, I would go with one. We had them use the toilet with the seat for kids, or one used the potty chair. There were never fights over it or anything. I wouldn't spend $ on a second one, not to mention the room it will take up!

We bought 2 (the very cheap ones from IKEA). My girls never really fought over them either but for those times they both needed the potty "quick" I liked having them since they can use them quickly themselves.

We had a potty seat that we put on the toilet and a potty chair. It worked for us. We never had the potty chair in the living room or anything.. it was always in the bathroom.

We bought two cheap ones. It worked for us because they always wanted to potty together.

We have two bathrooms, so I bought two rings that go on the potty, two step stools (great investment we use those all the time) and zero potty chairs. If they wanted to go at the same time one had to go to the other bathroom. It wasn't ever an issue (but our house is small).

I had two potty chairs because my two did like to go to the bathroom at the same time.

2, they always wanted to go at the same time (even if they didn't need to)

We picked up 2 second hand ones (washed them really well) and that worked for us because they always fought over them!

We had four! LOL. We had two upstairs and two downstairs for a while. Then, one upstairs, one downstairs and one in each car. Now we're down to one in the girls' bedroom that they just use at night - mostly just to prevent them from using the bathroom as a night time stalling technique. I'm so glad to not be driving around with a potty in my car anymore!

We aren't buying any. At school, they use the toilet so at home, we are putting them on the toilet. Also, mine won't be PT'd together and I am ok with that. Jacob has less than 0 interest in training right now and Henry is all about the potty and using the potty and going pee and poo on the potty.

We have two. It is nice to have two because we have the luxury of putting a potty wherever each lo happens to be at the time--one in their playroom and one in their bedroom, for instance.

Definitely two. My girls always fight over them. The small, cheap ones work just as well as the big, more elaborate ones and are, IMO, easier to clean.

We had two as well. We just bought the cheapies. Of course, we started out training them at the same time, but like Nancy's two, we ended up shelving it for Royce and revisiting it a few months later when he was ready.

Two here! And two toilet rings. It made everything so much easier for me.

If you plan on training them together then two for sure. Mine always wanted to go when the other was going at first, it just saves having to deal with arguments. We also had the very cheap end of the potty spectrum, I don't think you gain much with the more expensive ones and they are used for such a (relatively) short amount of time it just seems like a waste to spend lots of money.

Definitely 2. We had 2 so that the girls could go at the same time and it worked out well. I'm glad we didn't just get one, it would have been a nightmare!
