One of Each!

21 weeks 1 day and everything looks great so far. We are officially expecting a boy and girl! My DH and I are SOOOO excited! We've decided on Lily (after my grandmother) for our daughter and either Charlie or Andrew with a middle name of Benjamin for our son (I'm not sure how we're going to decide, so suggestions are welcome). Charles is a family name and Andrew (Drew) is just a name we've always loved. Benjamin is my DH's name. Still not sure on a middle name for Lily.

I was really glad to have read the other postings about the U/S 2 - otherwise I would not have anticipated the nearly 2 1/2 hour appointment. It was so worth it to see all of their working parts. Both babies are head-down and were spooning for the first hour and a half, so the doc had to keep double-checking that he was scanning the correct baby. Toward the end, the little girl rolled over and popped her brother in the face... :lol: Thankfully, they each have their own sacs (di/di) , so no damage done.

I haven't gained much weight because I was sick through week 17, so I was anxious to find out how they're growing. I've been packing in as much as I can in the last few weeks. Turns out baby boy is 15 oz. and his sister is 13 oz., so we're doing great size-wise (our little guy is actually slightly ahead of the game).

It was incredible watching them "interact". I can't believe I'm going to be the mommy of twins!!!!
