I think the girls are starting to transition to one nap. My problem is when do they nap and when do they eat lunch? Right now they nap then have lunch, but when I switch to 1 nap does their lunch time become earlier than their nap?

I am not sure when I will be putting them down but they eat breakfast around 7:30-8 (depending on when they wake) and have lunch at 12:30 now.

When we went to one nap lunch was between 11 and 11:30 so we could do a 12:30 nap.

In time lunch has gone later, as has the "nap."

Mine wake or I wake them (to get my oldest DD to school) at 7:30, they have breakfast around 7:50. Lunch is 11:30 and nap is 12/12:15. I would say lunch before nap. That is why we do an early lunch.

When mine went to one nap, I fed them lunch first than the nap came after.

They have breakfast between 7:30-8:00, snack 1.5 hours later, than lunch around 11:30, then nap by 12:30.

Same here.....Lunch around 11 or 11:30 and nap around 12:30. Then they can sleep as long as they want and it won't throw off what time we eat supper that night.

Lunch first, then nap here too. When they were on two naps, they napped from about 8-9 and then 12:30-2, with lunch around 12. When we first went to one nap, lunch was closer to 11, with nap starting at 11:30, but now it's back to lunch at 12, nap from 12:30-2:30 or so.

I just started a one nap schedule with mine this week. It really is not falling into place as easily as I thought it would. They're still used to having that morning nap and get very tired and cranky by late morning, so I have had to put them down by 11 or else pay the price!! So for now we do lunch after nap until I can push nap time back a little later.

WOW we are different here. Mine went to one nap at 8 MONTHS OLD! Urg...

But now they sleep a ton, so here is our schedule:

8:45 - 9 am wake (can you believe it????????)
    Breakfast
Noon - 3:00 pm nap (yes 3 hours)
    3 pm lunch
    6:30 dinner
    7:30 bed

We don't do snacks since there is no time.... Literally.

We had our 1 year check up today and I said to the pedi "I am probably the first mom to ask this, but are they sleeping too much?" He thought that it was hilarious, and said "count your blessings." ha ha

    We do lunch first too.

Right now we do lunch at 11, nap from 12-3 (sometimes they only sleep until 2)

I imagine we will eventually be doing lunch at noon, and nap from 1-3, but not unless they start sleeping in past 6am! We'll never make it to 1!

Thanks everyone - I am not sure if I am going to be able to keep them up till 11 so I guess we will be playing it by ear for awhile. Maybe the two large "snacks" before and after nap. I am not sure what they are planning since some days it's 1 nap and some days it is 2 but I guess we'll figure it out.

It depends on the day. Some days they go down at noon and other days they go down at 2. On the days that they go down at noon I do lunch around 11, and on the days they go down at 2 we do lunch at noon.

I know their schedule based on when they wake in the morning. Some morning is 7, which is when they noon nap, and other mornings is 8-9 when they take their 2 PM nap.

I have just gone down to one nap and i give them lunch at 12 so they can be down for 12.30/12.45. Try making their nap at say 10.30 and then every week or so push it back by 30 miins so you can then get it to the time you want x
