I am pregnant with fraternal twins at 24 weeks. One twin weighs 727gms and my iugr twin weighs only 285gms. I am so worried as my smallie is too small for delivery and today we learned that it has reversed end diastolic flow. We have been through so much in the past six wks and have no idea of where we are going with this.Does anyone else know if a baby with reverse diastolic flow could have a chance of survival? We would love to hear from anyone with any info as we are so upset tonight.....thanks Patsy

Oh I'm so sorry you have to deal with this...I don't have any experience or knowledge, but I just wanted to say I will be thinking about you and praying for your babies' health!

Thanks everyone for your kind wishes , prayers and thoughts. We are anxious about this reverse blood flow and worry that it may be fatal for baby A, at the same time we worry that if Baby A passes away that it will affect Baby B. I would love to hear from anyone who had/has a baby with this problem. We are still hanging in...... <_<

We had that problem with my twins. I posted my story under the TTTS thread but it should also go under the IUGR thread (I really need to fix that :) ). Our girls are 5 months old now and are doing great. They are both healthy and did fantastic in the NICU. They came home a few weeks before my due date.

Don't lose hope! Although things got pretty darn scary during the pregnancy, we never lost hope that we would bring them home. It was very difficult at times but it was what kept me going.
