I've read some stories of twins sleeping together in one crib. What has been yalls experience with this? And if they did sleep together, how long did that last?

Mine slept in the same crib for about 16 months. At 4, they still have their beds pushed together, so that they are close. I know that some babies disturb one another when they sleep together but my sons developed a form of synchronized sleeping. We also co-slept, so they fit longer in one crib because we turned their crib into a co-sleeper by taking off one side(back when drop side cribs existed) and pushing it against our bed.

I really wanted it to work with one but my boys then and now annoy eachother. O hated being cold and scooted- swaddled- over onto S, which made him wake and cry. That was the end of that. They also liked to sleep in swings and bouncies better than cribs for the first 4ish months.

Mine slept in the same crib unil about 4 months: then I woke up to crying one night about five minutes after they had gone back to sleep. I walked in (stumbled groggily) and found one kicking the other in her head, while still swaddled. That was the end of sleeping in the same bed!

my two slept together until they were 4 months when my DD got mobile and would wiggle over (still swaddled) and wake up her brother.
I loved having them together. Even as a preemie she would turn towards him and snuggle up. nothing sweeter!

you will figure it out as you go based on their personalities and individual sleep needs.
I have heard many people say they kept them together for quite a while.

Mine slept together for 8 weeks until one started kicking the other awake (even though swaddled).

Mine shared a crib but we also co-slept, so they rotated in and out of the one crib and our bed as they nursed or needed soothing and were rarely in the crib together after they became more mobile.

The girls shared a pack n play and then a crib until around six months- at that point my MIL started freaking Paul out about them smothering one another, so I relented and we split them up. They stayed in separate cribs until they moved to twin beds (just after two). They're back to sharing a bed, though! We can't get them to sleep alone anymore and I LIKE it that way!

We originally only got one crib however due to major reflux issues they had been primarily sleeping in their swings, we recently moved them into the pack n play together and after christmas we'll move them to the crib together and see how they are together in there, they seem fine in the pnp right now. Eventually we'll move them to separate cribs but they like being near each other.

Your twins will tell/show you what they want.
