Well, my family decided to throw me a surprise 'sprinkle' on Saturday. After being on my feet all day, my blood pressure was high. Off to L&D I went. They ran tests again to rule out pre-e, but had to stay 24 hours to do a 24 hour urine (still haven't heard anything on results). I was sent home this morning on bedrest. My parents took Peyton today for a few days. I miss her terribly already. It didn't help that she screamed 'mommy come too' as I was putting her in her car seat.

That's really it from me. They just want me to go a little longer, because caucasian boys tend to not do as well as girls if too early. So, holding on as long as I can.

:hug99: I hope this helps!! I too hate hearing the cries wanting mommy when they are going somewhere! :hug99: Really tugs at your heartstrings! Sorry to hear your pregnancy had to come to this! I hope you can keep him baking for a bit longer!

:hug99: How scary! I really hope you can hold off on having him for awhile longer. I had DS at 37 weeks 4 days (due to severe pre-e) and he had to stay in the hopital/ICN for 15 days. It is very true that caucasian boys need to "cook" longer than girls.

That's great that your parents could take Peyton for you--doesn't make it any easier though. ;) :hug99: Keep us updated when you hear about the 24-hour urine.

Im sorry heather. It really does pull on our heart string to hear our babies crying out to us, especially when they dont understand what is happening. I hope you can keep your little guy cooking for just a bit longer. :hug99: :hug99: :hug99:

Heather, i send you hugs too (I don't know how to do the hugging smilie).

If it helps at all my caucasian boys were born at 31 weeks and they did really well and came home 1 day shy of 37 weeks (so they were in there for 5 weeks 6 days). So I always told myself, if I had a baby at 37 weeks he would have been fine to come home with me! When I did my NICU rotation we saw few 37 weekers (boy or girls) generally, in fact here we consider anything from 36 weeks term.

Cook Jake a few more weeks if you can, but don't worry too much, he will be fine (and from your pictures of the girls I bet he will be beautiful!), Millie

Thanks everyone!! :love0028: This bedrest thing isn't terribly bad, but I am very bored, lol. Poor DH has been doing everything plus working. Granted, his idea of dinner for the girls the other night was popcorn, but at least he is feeding them, lol. At night when he is downstairs preparing everything, I am constantly sending him text messages not to forget to feed the dog and the fish, so and so has to bring her library books back, make sure homework is neat......(blah blah blah). He must think I am a nut. Just daily stuff I usually do that he probably isn't aware of.

Oh well, not too much longer. They said over 37 weeks (which is tomorrow going by due date, not c-section date) so, we shall see.

Thanks for all the well wishes though. It really helps knowing you are all here for me.
