lol.. yeah.. I think it just hit me that I'm actually having TWO babies, not one! (if you don't remember, I didn't find out there were two until 19 weeks, so we haven't known long). We were watching one of DS's baby einstein videos with him last night and it kept showing different sets of twins and I was like... ummm... that's what we're having! lol

And I've been going through all of DS's clothes and trying to figure out what needs washed, tags taken off, etc. and I think somehow that finally made me realize that I'm having *twins*

Two babies... holy crap! I'm so not prepared for this!!! Is it normal to freak out like this?!?! [IMG]

I don't think it hit me until the cribs went up. Even then I lived in peaceful denial until it was time to come home. I like to live in denial during pregnancy, makes my pregnancies a lot easier (no panicking).

Definitely normal! We didn't find out until 19 weeks either. I think one of the only things that is good about pregnancy being soo long is it gives us that long to adjust!

I am still freaking out!! Throughout the entire pregnancy, I kept saying we are having two babies...two at one time. Now that I have a date set, I am feeling overwhelmed. I think it is normal to freak out...part of it is excitement and part is just me freaking out. This message board has really helped me get through it. I know it will be very useful once they come (January 16th)!!!!!!!

There will be moments throughout this experience when it will hit you...WHABAMMM!!!...that you are having (or have) two babies.

My kids are almost 2 and there are times where I STILL have to sit and shake my head and go HOLY COW I have TWO babies!!! This morning my DH and I both had a moment like that. We were out in the kitchen making coffee and the kids were nuzzled in our beds watching Sesame Street. I walked past our room and saw these two tiny bodies and went "Whoa, twins." And it just hits you at moments like this.

It is an amazing experience. Enjoy these moments and relish in the fact that you are truly blessed with this gift of TWO!!!

I do the same thing! When you see the two of them running around, hugging each other, etc. it hits you...Wow, not everyone gets to do this! I tell them what a lucky mommy I am and I truly believe its a blessing.

You will definitely continue to have moments like that! You will adapt and do fine!

My "babies" will be three next week and I still am in awe that I was blessed to have two babies at once! It is so amazing to see the relationship my boys have with each other and how much they love their big sister! I couldn't ask for more! You are going to LOVE every minute of it, EVEN at 3am [IMG]

we didn't find out it was twins until almost 21 weeks either, and what a shock that was! I feel that way almost everytime I actually think about the reality that there are 2! especially when I have ultrasounds. just seeing 2 is a little freaky! it just doesn't seem real. but I'm sure it won't really hit me until we leave the hospital with more than one baby! I think it's normal though.

I had started to freak out a little about having a baby-DH would be at home alone with the baby 3-4 days a week while I was at work, how would he handle it? This started on the Tues. before my first u/s. I went in for the u/s on Fri. and it was immediately obvious there were two babies! This was at 19 week and several days. It was a total shock-no twins in my family anywhere though DH's older brother has now 18 yo ID girls. I lived in denial for a while, but when DH put both of those carseats into the car it hit hard-there really were TWO babies, two carseats, two cribs etc. And, that was at 36 weeks! Even now, I have "OMG, I have twins!" moments-usually the ahh moments like when I am pushing them in their Combi side-by-side stroller and they are holding hands which is too cute(and so much better a moment than Katelyn getting Jessica in the head with a block or stealing a toy).
