please please please tell me this is some phase that'll pass. cuz OMG mealtimes are taking almost twice as long. ivana just lets the food sit in her mouth, and every so often she'll chew it a little or shift it in her mouth. marina gets done way before and then wants out of the highchair. but i can't take her out or ivana will want to get out and then she won't eat at all! WHAT IS THE DEAL with the super slow eating???? i give her sips of water to help it go down quicker... i don't know what else to do! HELP!

 Sorry she's driving you nuts with this! Jacob is a slow eater but he likes to just stay in his chair and keep eating for up to an hour sometims. Maybe if you just let her have a light meal, she'd be hungrier at the next meal and be more likely to eat at a normal pace? Not sure. This too shall pass, I am sure! :)

LOL! I don't know what to tell you, it sounds funny! Maybe she is just savoring every bite.

    Hi,
This too shall pass..LOL!! Logan went through a phase of slow eating about a couple of months ago. It lasted for about a week. For some reason he just was sooooooo slow eating and really didn't act like he was hungry. I thought I was going to pull my hair out and then boom one morning he started eating faster.

    Good Luck :)

Danielle, I'm with you here. My son chews one thing at a time and chews it I think 100X...(his great grandma must be talking to him!) and then he has moments when he is done chewing but has not swallowed and spits it out. Mealtimes can take close to an hour! It's so crazy!

I would attempt to keep Marina happy a bit longer but if Ivana wants down when Marina does, go ahead and let her down. Then no more food until the next meal time. I bet she catches on fast that she eats or it's over.

i'm also there too. in the last few days, dd has started eating very slowly too. like your lo, she just lets the food sit in her mouth. i haven't thought of any way to speed it up yet.
