Okay, I just have to get this off of my chest. There was a woman at the park who picked up my daughter when she fell, saying she didn't think anyone saw her. I was heading over there with her twin bro. (who can walk slow) when this happened. I get that she was trying to help, but I PANIC most of the time when strangers pick up my daughter (which isn't often at all, but for some reason they choose her). Please PLEASE don't pick up my kids if I don't know you. We live in a nice, friendly, family area, but still, I don't know you. I'm even careful with people we do know, if they're not someone I would trust to watch my kids - I wish my mom had watched me closer with a neighbor when I was small (long story). Anyway, I just had to get that off of my chest. Thanks for reading.

Yea, I think she was probably just trying to be friendly but I completely understand that it would be scary to see a stranger pick up your child!

Ugh, sorry that happened! I would totally be irked too. I used to get so mad when strangers would be all up in their faces when they were newborns. It's so rude, so I totally feel you!

I would have been upset too! I get that she was trying to help, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't have freaked me out.

I totally understand! I feel the same way. I don't understand just because they are twins ppl think it gives them the right to touch, pick up and get in their face. They are my babies not a side show for their enjoyment. I have said not very nice things to ppl sometimes because of this. Not proud I was a witch, but ppl need to understand. What really made me mad was when ppl would take out their pacifiers out of their mouths. And say well we just wanted to compair them. HANDS OFF!!

Thanks ladies . I know some parents aren't bothered by it much, but I am for personal reasons. It just upsets me more when I'm nervous - like I took them to the park by myself when I was visiting my MOMs group. So, it wasn't a quick visit in and out. It went well, but it irked me even more than normal b/c of that. I feel less patient when I'm already stressed, KWIM? Plus, I'm not the type to just grab or pick up kids I don't know (too many kidnapping stories out there to worry parents :(), so I just don't get it.

I agree...that is probably an uneasy feeling to have and you just never know these days. However, she was probably just trying to help.
