OMG only 30 more days ...

Today marks the 30 day count-down to my scheduled C-Section! OMG! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! Of course, I am PRAYING I make it that long... even though I am utterly miserable 100% of the time. I want to avoid NICU time if possible... so no wishing they'd come any earlier!

Just a run-down of my latest complaints....

My tail-bone HURTS. It feels bruised. Doc told me that she could send me to a PT - but the way they correct the pain is something I will avoid at all costs! They give you a rectal exam and straighten out ... manually (if you get my drift). I DON'T THINK SO!!!!

My pelvic bones still feel like they are held together with jelly. I know they are spreading, and pretty wide at that. I can't even close my legs all the way anymore!

I can barely get out of bed.

My feet are swollen and yeah, they hurt too.

MY ONLY consolation is that my Gestational Diabetes has been kept under control really well and I didn't have to go up on my insulin... I am at 40 units a night. What really sucks is that I only have 30 unit syringes and I refuse to pay a $20 copay for another box of 100 .... because I won't need them after the girls get here. So, I have to give myself two shots at night. UGH. BUT at least my numbers are under control AND I have actually been able to eat a few more carbs than I was able to eat in the beginning. Heck, I can live with that!

Okay - enough from me. Just had to expel some of this nervous energy I have!!!!!!

Rachel, you are a tough woman! Imagine the carb rewards you will be having after 30 days as you enjoy your babies!

 

I totally understand where you are coming from. I am getting so many more aches. I am embarassed that it is getting harder for me to get up. I think I need a crane to get me up off the floor! Forget about bending over to pick things up!

I also freaked out a little today. I went through one bin to take out the girl newborn and 0-3 month clothes. I really do need some girl preemie clothes since Sibel will be very small. I just can't belive that they will be here in the next 3 weeks. I know they will not come home for a while, but still....It is a little overwhelming!

 

You are doing a fantastic job!! I know everything hurts, if you are like me as soon as you have your spinal for your c/s you will realize just what it is like to be pain free and then once those babes are out you start feeling a bit more like yourself everyday! You have a positive attitude, which absolutely rocks!
