OMG I cannot believe it

We are still in shock and disbelief even though we knew it could happen we weren't really planning to have another child, but not really preventing it either. Thankfully DH reacted better than I thought he would and I am surprised at how I felt upon finding out. I always thought I wanted this but after seeing the positive test I was really freaked out and wondered what we were thinking. In my head I know things will be fine though, DH has a very good job with good insurance plus we are in the process of buying a house and should be moved in by September.

I am so nervous about everything though, what will people (his family especially) think even though that shouldn't matter, will preeclampsia be an issue again, premature labor, placenta previa? Will I have to have another c-section?
My girls are ID so I'm not too worried about it being twins again which I am pretty positive was the only reason for all of my problems in that pregnancy because my oldest DD was a very normal pregnancy and birth.

I'm sure I will feel much better after I go to my first appointment and ask all these questions. It's been 7 years so I'm not even sure when they first want to see you now, with my other babies it was 12 weeks. I am due around Jan. 19th. I have told my little sister and my oldest DD found my prenatal pills so she knows, they were both really excited. We are not going to tell the twins or other family members until it becomes obvious though. I am hoping that DH will agree to letting the gender be a surprise because I really do not want to know.

Thanks for the well wishes. I am starting to feel a lot better about it because DH is starting to get pretty excited.

 

Yay! Congrats to you! Im' sure the shock will wear off soon. Wishing you the happiest and healthiest months ahead. FOr what it's worth, I hade pre-e and PUPPPS with the boys and they were induced at 37 weeks. I had no problems with Becca and went overdue.

 

Congrats! I had to go in early at 6 weeks with this pregnancy, because of all the morning/all day sickness. I'm not sure when they want you in, but being you've had twins (and I know the chances are less with identicals) they probably would like to visit with you sooner than 12 weeks. Do you have an appointment scheduled?
