Omega 3s

For those of you that give your kids omega 3s, which ones do you use and how much? My Andrew is speech delayed and am considering starting him on the omegas. Any info you can give me would be great...Thanks...

 

We used "Yummi Bears" brand for a little while. The boys liked them-- they taste like gummy bears. I have heard excellent things about a brand called "Nordic Naturals". They are supposed to be very high quality.

 

We use the Coromega packets -- they taste like orange sherbet. All three of my kids get one packet a day, and eat them without complaint.

 

We use the chewable ones from Costco (I think it's "Yummi Bears"). The girls loved them at first, but the last bottle we bought was kind of stale. Sarah will eat them -- they're fine, just a little tough -- but Amy won't. Kind of a waste of money, as Sarah will only eat the yellow ones!

 

My kids get about 1/2 tsp of flavored fish oil every day. I wasn't sure how they'd react, but they love it! I'm told it's a good source of omega 3's, as well as Vit D. I need to check with our dr ..... I think I'm supposed to be bumping them up to 1 tsp soon.

They were more cost effective, but my DD does not like them at all have to bribe her to eat them. My DS likes both brands.
